So long as Dung sits, this team is a hell of alot better than ppl think.

Cup- I think, so long as they dont get the LeBrons, they win their first round matchup.

Supercup, you've got to be kidding me! The LeBrons, I mean Cavs, have lost ONLY ONE HOME GAME this year, while the Bulls have won just 10 road games all season & don't play much defense either. :( As for Luol Deng, the Bulls paid him $82 million for this?!

Who defends Dwight Howard if they get the Magic in round 1? Joakim? Miller? Panther?
That series is a sweep unless someones gives Howard the Tanya Harding treatment before game one?

They are going to have to utilize Tyrus, jokein, and miller together like some unholy trinity of red, it can be done.

Cup- its not rocket scientist, and yeah, a nice chop to the knee would be a good thing.

Plz reread what i wrote.

If they get the cavs, the bulls will be swept, easily.
But i dont belive the celtics are as great as ESPN makes them out to be, and the Magic, while good, could be beaten.

Regardless of where they're seeded & who they meet in Round 1, the Bulls are going to get schooled by whoever their opponent turns out to be. DON'T GET TOO EXCITED! The Eastern Conference absolutely sucks beyond the Top 4 teams!

I think the Bulls will get swept by Cleveland, lose in 5 to Boston, and lose in 7 to Orlando. They can't beat any of these three teams in a 7 game series. Cleveland will sweep because the Bulls will be decimated after two blowout road losses. I don't think they match up well against Boston; especially with the way that Rondo is playing right now. He will absolutely work rose. As far as Orlando goes, I'm not that impressed. They play good defense and the Bulls don't have anybody that can match up with Howard, but he still hasn't showed that he can take over a game on the offensive end.

And Shark, Luol is stealing $73M, not $82M. Please get your facts straight if you're going to repeat them.

What difference does it make, Bulldog Scott? The fact of the matter is that Luol's stealing money from the Bulls, even before this stress fracture, ankle, or shin contusion of his! I don't give a rat's ass if Luol's making $73 million, $82 million or even $1, he's been a big time disappointment since the Bulls extended his contract!

A playoff spot for the Bulls means two things in my opinion...First, Vinny Del Negro will be back as the head coach, whether we like it or not. Second, Derrick Rose will be the NBA Rookie of the Year over O.J. Mayo and another bad season for the Memphis Grizzlies. Other than that, don't get too excited. This Bulls team sucks away from the United Center! You know it. I know it. The folks in Atlanta, home of TNT, know it. The folks in Bristol, CT, home of ESPN, know it.

Aren't you the same guy back in December and January who had a fit after every Bulls loss because it didn't look like they'd make the playoffs? Making the playoffs seemed to matter a lot to you then (even when I was telling you it didn't). Why the change of heart? Why the sudden apathy about the Bulls playoff hopes? You were their main cheerleader a couple of months ago.

Do you still think that making the playoffs doesn't matter, Kid? Or do you think this experience with the Celtics will give the players something to draw upon in the next season or two?

I tend to think that it will be helpful for all, particularly Rose, Noah, and even Salmons.

Honestly, I really don't. The way I see it, it's two mediocre teams duking it out in a very entertaining series. I don't believe in the idea of playoff experience. I believe that in a 7-game series the team with better players and coaching will win.

Last year the Celtics won the championship with a nucleus that hadn't played together before.

In 2007, the Bulls swept the defending champion Miami heat and lost to the Pistons in 6 games. The following year: no playoffs. Their experiences the previous year didn't carry over. What happens from year to year is incidental in my opinion.

Reasons this playoff series is important:
1) Derrick Rose is becoming a superstar. I expect as early as next year he starts to get the calls that certain other NBA players get. He won't get the benefit that Lebron gets. Perception of how good someone is plays a major part in NBA officiating.
2) The talent on this team is on display and there are teams right now that wish they could get someone like Kirk Hinrich. They could have had him for almost nothing earlier in the year. Salmons, Hinrich, and Noah are more valuable now than they were when the playoffs started seemingly six months ago.
3) Free agents are more likely to believe this team is a serious contender. If I had to pick a team to compete with Lebron for the next 5 years it would be the Bulls. With the right moves, the Bulls will be the biggest challenger.
4) The Bulls have a winnable series in the next round if they are lucky enough to make it there. Experience does help. Take a look at the teams that win NBA titles. They are filled with veterans. Take a look at all the talent on Portland. They probably have better players than the Rockets but went home. Getting playoff experience is needed on an individual basis. I don't think this team as currently constructed gains much from this playoff but I can guarantee that it will help Rose and Noah in future years.

I was too, and I still am. This team still has major personnel issues that need to be addressed. This isn't the optimal cast of characters to take advantage of Rose.

If the Bulls had won a game in the series none of the above points would be true.

However, this series has actually been important when it didn't seem like it would. Even if the Bulls lose, there are things that can be taken. This is rare in the NBA. Portland can't take anything from what happened. Utah can't either. The Hawks can't. In fact, I can only really see a case for the Bulls actually being helped by making the playoffs and not winning it.

This.

I have to say I was not really high on him coming into the year, but he has really been impressive. Is he making stupid mistakes? Yeah. Of course. The guy's a rookie and he didn't exactly have a whole lot of college experience either. But he is growing the hell up fast in this first round series. This has been more important to a Bulls player than any of the others they've played in recent years (when people thought it'd be good for guys like deng and hinrich to "grow up" and they didn't). This is a series that will define the Bulls team for the next 10 years, and it's just the beginning.

It doesn't matter what the Bulls do from here on in, they are going to be a force. And I agree, they can land someone good now because FA's will take them seriously.

Unlike MY team...(fuckin slackers).

Damn, the Sixers. They got a lot of work to do(NBA hell is hard to get out of). First things first, you think the GM can find someone to take Elton Brand, because that would be the first thing I'd do. Get him the hell out of there. Dumb ass signing to begin with seeing as how the team liked to run and Brand is a half court player. You got some good young players over there in Iggy, Young(kid will be an all star, IMO), and Speights. The rest of the team needs to be purged. Might even have to look into moving Iguodala, too. Build with Speights and Young.

i don't know that i'd move ig unless you can get like...kobe or lebron. seriously. he is too good (has too much potential *at least*) to just trade for parts.

everything else i agree with. this team is just garbage year in and year out. i thought maybe with billy "the eighth" king gone things would get a bit better, but the brand signing turned out to be shit (like usual).

i like lou williams, hell i even like willie green. but i hate dalembert with a passion. the guy is just not an NBA player.

Yeah, only reason I say look into moving Iggy is to perhaps get some picks(obviously something in the top 5, but this draft fucking sucks outside a few players) and a player with potential. For example say OKC gets the second pick, Iggy for Rubio and Green or something like that. If you can't get a deal like that, then yeah keep him. Hopefully you guys take Hansbrough so Paxson won't.

I believe Dalembert will be gone, that guy is a fucking joke. People love to rag on Chandler, but at least he fucking tries when he's healthy. Willie Green is okay off the bench, not starting and Williams looked like he was going to take the step to become a solid player, but it looked like he regressed some. What happened there?

eh, they need a coach.

i agree, green's probably better off the bench but he's the best option they got right now. how i'd love for them to have brandon roy. but i only dream...

it's just a damn cycle of fail with this team. they can't get it right.
