What the hell kind of lineup was it, that Lou trotted out to face Lincicum? He finally gets Aramis Ramirez back, then sits him? He sits Soriano and his hottest hitter (Theriot) as well??? He sat Bradley....well, as much as he has had a couple hits of late, that was no big sacrifice. But sitting Theriot, Soriano and Ramirez, as well as Soto and Bradley??? Seemed almost like he wrote that one off.

Apparently Lou thinks his players wore down and the result was 6 of the most pathetic playoff efforts in history...I dont mind giving guys rest here and there...Peak in Sept/Oct rather than June/July.

I do not disagree with the idea of giving guys rest. But why all on the same day? He could have given just 1-2 guys a day off. Instead, he gave 5 regulars the day off.

im sure lots of guys figured they "needed a day off" yesterday when they found out tim lincicum was pitching. "let the bench guys look like shit against him, i need to rest my __________________. I'll be ok to pinch hit, though."
