I did that once rolling a big girl around in bed and I was ok in a few days so I'm hoping he can follow suit.

By getting healthy, or by getting a little action from Carnie Wilson?

this is the one injury this team CANNOT survive. hopefully it will be short-term, but i have a feeling this one will linger all season long, even when he comes back. this really spells trouble for the cubs.

Naturally the chicken littles are here saying the Cubs will suck this season without Ramirez.

Not saying this won't hurt but saying they will suck is really really really stupid.

Read hes done for the year, although it was from the OMB.

If he is the Freel signing becomes that much more important.

The Poofer- Fuck ARam, we got Ryan!!!

so you dont think losing ramirez on the field and in the lineup is a big loss for the cubs? for the record, i dont think they will "suck". i think the starting pitching is good enough to keep them from "sucking". i do think that without ramirez, or even with a ramirez who is not able to perform to his usual standards (which is likely with this kind of injury), this team is in trouble and in for a fight when it comes to winning this division.

I didn't say this isn't going to hurt and hurt bad but the chicken littling and henny pennying here is ridiculous.

On another board some boob went on and on how we are doomed because we need Lee to step up and Bradley as well.

We're not talking about Neifi Perez here.

aramis ramirez and soriano are the only 2 truly potent bats in the lineup. the cubs have a couple of other guys who are pretty solid, and several more who are decent hitters, but those 2 are the only true run-producers. IF ramirez were out for the year (speculating), this offense would be DOA. this is part of the reason why i was so against the Bradley signing and in favor of Dunn. with a bona-fide slugger like dunn in the middle of the order, you could possibly survive an injury to a guy like ramirez. now, you have no fallback. the middle of your lineup just lost all of its power threat.

This injury seems eerily similar to Lee's injury a couple years ago that really hurt the Cubs all year.

Or Nomar's the year before. Root for a Blackhawks win tonight so they can continue to distract us from the flop that is the 2009 Cubs.

yeah, even if ramirez comes back in 6 weeks or whatever, no way is he at 100% and swinging that bat at full strength. without knowing all the details on severity of the injury and so forth it is hard to judge. lets hope he comes back soon and kills it.

Since you're all hoping the Cubs lose 90 games just so you can come back and say you're chicken little henny penny reaction is right go root for the Cardinals.

To say they'll suck now is absolutely ridiculous.

No wonder some players either hate or don't care about the fans when they are hoping they lose just to say they were right.

So Curious and such since you think the Cubs will completely suck this year and shouldn't even bother to try 90 losses? 100 losses?

and since people saying these things always want them to happen so they can crow about it go root for the Cardinals.

The team overall is much better than the 06 team that's why while Curious and such hopes for 90 losses it's not likely.

Manoffew all this talk about how 09 is a disaster and to give up on winning anything without Ramirez.

I love Ramirez and yes this will hurt but some of the reaction has gotten more than goofy.

Ironically while the game started I was working on a piece calling Aram one of the most underrated players in baseball.

Last night the initial reaction was shock so people that went henny penny last night I thought okay it's initial shock.

Also I think Hendry can pull something off if necessary.

One thing I do hope is if he is going to be out for the season they know it now not later because Hendry can strike now.

RF of course admits to being a complete POS by calling me chubby but look at some of the reactions especially Curious Hair.

And what is the OMB?

IOW, no one said they were going to suck, you just like to make things up and exaggerate.
