Was at the game Saturday, here are some of my thoughts. Lou should have had Lee pinch-hit in the 6th for Hoff, he had no chance against the lefty. He should have never let Dempster come out for the 7th. He said earlier in the week he was done leaving the guys out there to long, this is the 3rd time this week he fucked up. Scales has to go back to the minors. We are seeing why it took him 11 years to make the majors. Final thought, Hillbilly Brewer fans are bitches for throwing a beer bottle down at Bradley. Lucky he didn't know it, he never turned around.

all i can say is hendry must be fired. This team's struggles are his fault. Why the fuck did he basically just trade DeRosa for Ryan Freel. And this piece of shit bullpen he has put together. WTF???????????? He either better get peavy right now or clean out his desk because he made nothing but awful moves this offseason and then admitted it when trading for a poor man's Mark Derosa the other day. Agggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

This is the worst bullpen ever. Nobody can throw strikes. Once again Cotts comes in and walks the first batter, then gives up a single. Looks like Heilman is back to being the guy that pitched for the Mets. I'm sure the injuries will take most of the heat for the bad start, but this team was not as good as last years when the season started. They really over blew the left handed hitting theory. Fontenot is not a everyday player, but Hendry fell for the stats that he had in limited at bats. Now you are left without a backup 3rd basemen, because you traded your utility player for some minor leaguers that will probably never make the roster. Lou needs to sit Jim's fat ass down, and tell him he needs some pitchers and real utility guy, and not Freel or any other cheap substitute.

Did Piniella talk about the pitching rotation for the Playoffs in the post game interview?

I love to watch baseball, but watching either Chicago team right now is just brutal. :|

I'm watching golf. Flipped it to the cubs when I heard my brother-in-law-screaming in the other room. Let's just say he's not a very big fan of Alfonso Soriano.

In that case, Alex Cejka must REALLY be hung up on Tiger's surgery.

You're right about DeRosa. I said at the time, that it was a mistake to trade him, as he provided protection at so many different positions. Freel is okay, but I had not wanted DeRosa gone. I said during the winter, that they should have gone after Furcal to play SS and Brian Roberts to play 2nd, trade Theriot and Lee, along with either Marshal or Marquis, to get Roberts. Then put Hoffpauir at first and have 2 jack-rabbits to bat 1-2. I never would have targeted Bradley (though I'm sure he WILL hit) but Abreau or Ibanez. The releif corps have put the Bull in Bullpen we have. Where I differ with you in your post, is that I do NOT want Peavy. Too many injuries in the past 2 years and an ERA away from Petco, that is not very good. They need to upgrade the bullpen instead.
