Can someone tell me what this OMB is? I see it referenced. I assume its either Official or Other Message board.

IF you mean the Cubs.com message board in general you will get more accurate information talking to a dog.

Man I misread what you meant. Sorry.

I think we're all a bit on edge right now.

Speaking from experience, dislocating your shoulder hurts like a sonofabitch. I needed surgery to repair it (then another surgery on it a few years later).

Even when it "heals," that feeling of when it popped out is always in the back of your head. I still hesitate when I have to fully extend my arm.

I thinks it's safe to say he'll be thinking about it when the next liner is hit down the line.....

The same could be said for 90% of the teams in baseball, so what the fuck is your point?

Mediocre teams on both sides of town. They'll be lucky to win 165 games combined.

Which 06 team?
What century?

It is MAY.
The White Sox won their MEDIOCRE Division last season with a MEDIOCRE team.
The Cubs are still the favorites to win the Chumpionship of the N.L. Central.
2 1/2 months left before the trade deadline.
If the Cubs are 10 games under .500 on July 1, THEN write off the season and enjoy the Captain Morgan Club.

It sure looks that way. It is early yet, but the Sox can't hit thier way out of a paper bag, and the Cubs are MLB's M*A*S*H* unit right now.

The Cubs have good starting pitching and with Soriano having a great season and Fukadome contributing as he did early last year, it looks like the offense will be pretty good. They will miss Aramis, of course. But if Freel can stay healthy and fill in at 3rd till he's back, the Cubs will be fine. They just need to make a move or 2 to upgrade the bullpen. Bradley has finally begun hitting, so that will help pick up some opf the slack that Ramirez' loss creates.

I'm not getting my hopes up. This team was flat at full strength.

nobody should ever get their hopes to high this early in any season anyway. it always takes a couple months to start seeing how a team is coming together, to really see what your chances are. people who expected the cubs to roll through the NL Central without a hiccup was putting unrealistic expectations on this team to begin with. they were and are on paper the favorites when healthy, but it never looked like a no-brainer they would cakewalk into the playoffs to me.

The Cardinals have played very well so far and now Carpenter is getting close to returning. The Brewers are still good and the Reds are better. this division is not going to be a cakewalk at all. However, if Hendry can upgrade the bullpen prior to the trade deadline, they should still win the division. Assuming the injury problems do not continue all season.

How can you say this team has been flat at full strength when they've not been at full strength all season?

At least one player has been hurt all year so far.

165 wins combined is silly. I expect the Sox to be around 500 and the Cubs to win 90.
