Man on 3rd, no outs and the Cubs can't score. Lee and Bradley strikeout. Cubs have a lot of roster spots being wasted with Miles, Scales, and Cotts. These 3 are dead weight.

Lee another strikeout after a leadoff double. 0-3 with 3 strikeouts, thanks for coming back.

How far was that? I can't recall the last time I saw a HR land there.

Did you see him hold his ear to the fans when they were cheering him? Interesting...

Bradley SMOKED that ball!

Still though, no reason to be a douche while walking back to the dugout, putting your fingers behind your ear in response to the cheers, to basically say to the crowd, "ohh your cheering me now"! FUCK YOU Bradley! You deserved every boo you've heard!

I took it more as just a playful thing with the fans.

Lee is done. It's lovely to have a 13 million dollar a year singles hitter, huh? I just wish he would get a timely single every now and then.
Methinks, he is missing something very important to his game.

Bradley is a pudwhack.

He's a FUCKING BABY just like when the fans booed Carlos Zambrano. They both had their bottom lip puffed out like little fucking toddlers do.

If you don't produce, you should be booed! What happened to the critics saying the Cubs and their fans are lovable losers?
The fans aren't taking the sub-par performances.

If the player sucks, they should be booed. And if you FINALLY do something positive, you shouldn't rub it in the their face.

Eh, players react to fans the same way that sports talk show hosts react to callers. They notice the noisiest assholes and attribute that behavior to the majority.

Screw that, that's who Bradley is, and more than likely that's what makes him great when he's healthy. He a nasty bastard fueled by rage. Fans can't have it both ways. The fans can boo all they want, but if the Cubs ever win a World Series it won't because the players had some epiphany because they got heckled. Fans are turning to bigger primadonnas than the players and their sense of entitlement is lame. "Boo hoo, I pay may hard earned money so the players must respect my booing and god forbid they ever react to it in any way that I don't find acceptable because I'm a fan and I am above being questioned. it says so right here on my ticket!"

He hit a 2 run homer off a former Cy Young winner that gave the Cubs the lead and people are complaining he put his finger up to his ear? That embarrassing to Cub fans.

I agree....stupid thing to do, but it was not a big deal. The homerun...that was a big deal. Turned the game around at that exact point!

Bradley is a pudwhack.

Again, if Hendry didn't give lee a contract that calls for him to receive 13.5 million in 2009, he wouldn't be playing ahead of hoffpauir-who had another hit, in his only at bat. Meanwhile Derek lee comes up twice in situations where he has runners in scoring position and can't even move the runner up, much less score him. Instead, he stikes out 3 times (yes-his headgear on this day is the sombrero) but is bailed out by Bradleys blast. Peavy is especially tough on right handed hitters. This would have been a good day for Lou to have sat Lee another day and play Micah.

Bradley can be a huge pudwack, as long as he keeps hitting...which he finally has started to do.

KD, I couldn't agree with you more. I love what Bradley did. If the fans can dish it they should be able to take it also.

I agree, totally.

But for Bradley... what benefit does he get from being a dickwad? Even if he truly doesn't care for the fans (and I think this might be the case), why wouldn't he at least try to embrace it for the sake of happiness? Wouldn't life be easier with the fans on your side? Wouldn't he make more money (autograph signings, appearances) if fans like him?

I guess I just don't see the upside for trying to piss the fans off.

I don't believe that he WANTS to have a poor relationship with the fans. I think he felt as though the fans (based on what he experienced at the Cubs convention and in spring training) were going to treat him very warmly. However, when he didn't hit, the fans turned on him rather quickly. That may have stung him and he was reflecting that. It will all work out over time. he just needs a few weeks where he hits the ball well and the fans continue to show their appreciation for it.

Plus it's not like he did a full-on Hulk Hogan, waving his hand around his ear numerous times before finally cupping his ear. It was minor, but noticeable.

I think I'm in love in a totally non gay way... not that there's anything wrong with that.

I couldn't have put what you said better. I wish he would have grabbed his balls ala Ben Gordon during the Celtics series and told the fans booing him to fuck off... and shake his balls at them for comedic purposes.
