Admittedly, I have heard almost no sportsradio this week. Have heard Blackhawks play by play, pre and post, and some baseball play by play... but very little sportstalk.

Kind of curious why my favorite show -- and many of yours -- hasn't had a thread posted on since the conclusion of Monday's show. Maybe the "Would You Rather?" session and the biggest name guests didn't strike any nerves. Maybe they'll be more interesting next week.

Maybe because they're stealing game ideas from Harry's cocktail napkin?

"Blackhawk foe or Facebook joe?"
Really.

I think its because they've been hockey intensive this week.

I enjoyed that segment, if for nothing else, just to hear my name on the radio  it will probably never happen again.

I think it's mostly because it's a solid show, not a controversial show.
I'm still curious about Silvy's "nice girl" date though. Need more info.

I don't think an active message board forum and a good radio show correlates in any way. I listen to the show everyday but like Jeff said, they don't try to get you all riled up and participate. They are funny and interesting to listen to without taking meatball calls. Most calls into radio shows are bad anyway, bad cell connection, caller is scared to talk, host interupts caller and makes fun of them or they make a valid point that the host brought up earlier.

I agree. Its like when I used to be a Customer Service Rep a long time ago....no one calls in to say "Hey you guys are doing a good job"...

It's a consitantly good show. It would be kind of redundant if I sang their praises everyday. I would eventually be accused of being an AL'er.

To borrow an old Kevin Matthews line, the Ryan Theriot interview is being sent to the Broadcast Museum...

Sounded like he did not really feel like talking, and also seemed distracted. A lot of stuff going on in the background. He claimed that Geo Soto told him he needed to get off of the phone because it was his turn at BP...

I have to agree with spmack’s assessment.
Also, the show benefits by the hosts’ interaction with their audience either by Silvy’s facebook page or the show’s commitment to email. It begs the question why post on a message board when we can take our observations straight to the fellas?
That being said; The Waddle and Silvy show rocks!

It sounded like the exact same interview that cjh did with him last week, he's just not a good interview.

That begs the age old sports talk radio question then, Crosscheck. Who gives the best interviews? Specific athletes, former athletes turned coaches or sportswriters?

My answer to Shark's question would be sportswriters, can give the time and also a little more information, since their around the team.

"Would You Rather?" is neither entertaining nor creative, and it's a shame that Silvy has convinced himself that it's some kind of signature segment on their show.

Also, Silvy might have the worst taste in music on the planet. That show is so full of wuss rock, it's unbelievable.

Besides those 2 minor issues, I couldn't ask for much more from my midday show...

I do sometimes. Well maybe not customer service reps, but if someone did a real good job at something I go out of my way to state it. Especially if she is really hot!

BP is probably code for BJ.

I'm not making the quantum leap... suggesting the show hasn't been good because there hasn't been much written. Just surprised four days went by without any opinions expressed about the show.
