DeRosa would be a far better option at 3rd. Plus when Ramirez is back, he could go back to 2nd base, where Fontenot has been a major disappointment with the bat. He was also a team leader, who was great with the press and would benefit the team from that aspect as well. I'm not going to hold my breath on this one. but if it happened that the Cubs re-aquired him, I would be pleased to see him return.

Agreed. I think some valued DeRosa too highly, but he's a better option at third than Fontenot and Miles. My fear with Fontenot was that a full season would wear him down, and unfortunately, I think it is.

Exactly. He's certainly better than the current options at 3rd.
