Back to where they started the season (.500) after an agonizing 7 game losing stretch, the Cubs will try to rebound against the Pirates. The way things are going, with the bats especially, it's hard to be overly confident, even against a team like Pittsburg right now. Paul Maholm goes in the opener today, vs Dempster. After that, the Bucs will throw Ian Snell and Zach Duke. Sean Marshall and Zambrano pitch games 2 & 3 for the Cubs. If they are going anywhere in 2009, it's time to wake the hell up. Aramis ramirez was an unfortunate loss. but this is a team that should have enough talent to absorb his loss and play winning baseball. Right now, they have just looked flat. A listless bunch that needs a kick in the ass.

If it wasn't for this fucking rain, even the CBOE seats are only 50 bucks on StubHub right now.

Equivilant to the Scout Seats at the Cell, but I don't think you get the food and drink.

Any batting order with Reed Johnson batting 4th is real bad.

Dempster sucks. Every other start is bad. Once again Hendry fell for the 1 year wonder and over paid.

We knew Miles couldn't hit, but now he can't catch. I really wish his ass would get hurt for the season.

I'm guessing, like Bob said, Big Z wasn't prepared.

Cotts needs to go... ASAP.

Should have let Z bat. Tell him you're up there to hit a homer and if you don't, don't even jog out of the batter's box.

In which case his best option with RISP was the goddamn relief pitcher? Oh, Lou, what are you doing to my beloved Cubs?

Hendry should be fired for bringing Cotts back. 3 homers given up this year, all to lefties. Whats the point of a lefty in the 'pen, if he can't get lefties out. Thats 2 straight games he has given up a homer to a lefty.

Left handed batters have an OPS of 1.091  against Neal Cotts-that's before McLouth's home run.........

Cubs finally get a lead, and the shitty 'pen can't hold it. Freel is another jackass, Hendry you're on fire with your pick ups.

Looks like Hoff is going to start showing everyone why he was in the minors until he was 30. Sounds like Mr. T is taking a shit, with the noises he is making.
