He had a table set up at Jewel on Southport (or is that Dominicks?) with the HUGE "MIKE QUIGLEY" sign and he was sitting with some aide, just meeting the people.

I was the only one who I saw that said hello to him , the aide was so excited he jumped up and wanted my info ASAP to put down on his list. That is one thing I have noticed in my days of talking to any Alderman, etc. They all have a guy standing next to them with a pad and they want all your info first.

Actually had his nephew working for me last year, so I talked to him about that as well.

he is a really good guy, he taught one of my classes two semesters ago, and he was one of the nicest teachers I ever had, he didn't really teach a whole lot, he just had a bunch of guest speakers every week. But he is a real down-to-earth person, and he likes hockey, so thats a plus in my book...

Funny thing is that his nephew always said he was in the army? Then when I said something about it to Mike he was a bit surprised. Mike said "thanks for helping him out"

Makes me think my guy who claims to be in the army wasn't

Maybe he is one of the last remaining conscripts in Wannie's Army.
