You're nothing if not predictable Frank. God knows why you enjoy that Frank. It's rather pathetic.

I'd like to see Marshall be a long lefty in the pen instead of a starter once Harden's back and there's a full 5. Meaning... Wells is good enough to start regularly. Cotts is gone, Marshall is the big lefty.
I see the bullpen in his future.

Four runs in. Easy choice tonight. Early bedtime and a good book.

A 3.7 ERA from your #5 isn't wretched. I'm not surprised he's getting hit by the Dodgers as they seem damn good, but Marshall hasn't been less than advertised. That said, he should indeed replace Cotts and Wells takes the #5 spot.

A 3.7 ERA from #38, and people would start calling him Cy Young.

Well, we scored 7 yesterday, so it is indeed possible and we still have 27 outs to play with... 26... 25... where's my book?

They are most definitely underperforming. Bradley and Soto underperforming, and ARam being hurt make for a truly anemic/inconsistant offense. Throw in some bullpen flambe and you have a middling .500 team golfing in October.

Didn't take you long to say something stupid and unnecessary. Why do you give a fuck what people would say about Zambrano? He owes you money?

Ah, Frank is just mad because I'm implying that no baseball player worth a damn wants to play for the Sox and more specifically Guillen.

Shit, they may not need to make a deal. They're in 2nd place and doing well enough for that division... but that's not the point, is it?

Can you imagine if they did manage to land Peavy or oswalt? That's a division crown without the extra game (for hosers).

The Cubs playing crap baseball chaps my ass... doesn't mean I need to do superfluous shit to feel better about it. Full disclosure, I find Fantasy Baseball to be somewhat cathartic. I can cut some millionaire asshole who is underperforming and be done with him. I'm stuck being loyal to my childhood team because I'm really fucking stubborn.

I agree. A big move like that, Fields settles down (like he seems to be doing of late), and Wise/Anderson are able to be adequate in CF, that team may well win the division which is the first and most important point of the season. Get into the post season and see how lucky your good team can be. But again, for Frank and his ilk, that's never going to be enough.

Johnny Dangerously? I don't often get these allusions.

Not a good night when the upside of an opponant's homerun is that it comes with the bases empty, unlike the last time he was up with the bases full and he struck out. Wafer thin... (get that one WZ)

Good night all. I'm going to read some Redwall to my boys who are blissfully ignorant of all things Cubs, and then go to bed myself. Much more satisfying than hoping for a comeback from these louts.
