Any idea how much longer Jurko's contract is at ESPN Radio 1000? :?

John, that's what it sounds like...Is it too late for Carmen to bring back "Save the Music" like what he & Silvy used to do?

Driving around heard it. Whatever YURK said, ticked Harry off a bit and Harry shot back with the under the breath a bit 'have fun at the other station' which got a big "Whhhhhoooooaaaa What was that about?"

Maybe they will can YERKO soon, so he doesn't get his last shots, he rejects the last 2 months and we let if fly on WSCR and Mitch looks like a genius.

There seems to be some genuine disdain between a couple of people at ESPN1000 without mentioning names.

I think I heard Jurko's deal is up sometime in August.

Too bad it has to end this way, with Mac unceremoniously dumped and now the in-fighting. The show had a pretty good run (tremendous) for a long time.

Hopefully WSCR stays away from Jurko. Maybe he'll join the webio or take another crack at being a football color man.

It was funny stuff at the end of the show as Jurko was challenging Harry on what he really brought to the table during his stint on the Danny Bonaduci show and what contrabutes did Harry make if any to the show . It was uncomfortable radio but Harry stuggled to come up with any real answers as they went quickly to 1-800-cars-For kids spots.

I am wondering too was it Horace Grant, and if it was, did they just have him on because he was on the Magic the last time they made the Finals.

For Harry's comment to Jurko about have fun at the other station, Jurko will go, and if he does team with Mac, you know they will get the ratings, and werever Harry ends up, it will not, and Harry's next show may be his last at ESPN radio.

Forget the "they" part. It's Mac, pure and simple. I'd like to see Danny pair up with someone that actually contributes something, instead of a guy who thinks it's funny to be unprepared and that fart jokes never grow old.

True, I think if Jurko gets a pass, being a former athlete, that Harry will never get. I think Jurko would be in for a rude awakening paired with anybody but Mac. Maybe they can replace Hamp with Jurko and see how good he is.

These shows are about chemistry among the hosts.

Boers and Bernstein have it.

Mac, Jurko and Harry was probably THE BEST sportstalk show in the history of the genre in town.

Carmen has a tremendous depth of knowldege about the sports scene....

Maybe Carmen is in a situation where he has to play referee and that isn't his bag?

I only caught part of the interview and heard Harry ask Horace if he ever told Mjeff and Pippen that "they never won a title without him but he did without them" Was that the dumb question Jurko referred to?

Yes, that's it exactly.

Is Harry really that dumb or is the whole thing some kind of bit or character?

I've said before, I think his whole existence is a bit or character. It's who he is.

If by genius you mean idiot, then I agree.

Jurko should jump to Fox's 8th-string team (replacing/joining John Lynch) or become CBS's 8th-string analyst (replacing Steve Beuerlein). He would probably climb pretty fast.

It also helps Harry when Harry asks which White Sox player should I book as a guest, well since they lost, he won't do it because he doesn't talk to players after a loss. If I was his boss, I would tell him to book a guest no matter if they win or lose.

All the new contracts the guys are getting, are for LESS money. So I have no doubt that Jurko WILL NOT accept the idea of terminating his contract mutually. He will be happy to take a couple months off....an extended "paid vacation", if you will. I would not be shocked to see that happen. But they will keep Jurko off the air, until his contract is up at AM 1000. I'm sure Jurko would LOVE the extended paid vacation though and will probably push the envelope whenever he can, to try to make that happen. Harry's comment must not be appreciated by management. I'm sure the last thing they want discussed are the Score, danny Mac and whether others at the station might be jumping over too.

I think you guys are being rather presumptuous that the 'have fun at the other station' was aimed at Jurko, although conventional wisdom would be that was who
that comment was aimed at.

I'm not saying... I'm just saying.

If Baldinger's mangled pinky can be all over Fox and the NFL network, there's a place for Jurko's ugly mug. How about Jurko nemesis Tony Siragusa, for that matter?
