Any score?

Eaglo, White Sox lose 5-3 to the A's tonight, and it looks like Gordon Beckham's coming this way.

Damn! :x They have to split this series. Must!!! When is Beckham coming up? Replacing Betemit? That totally blows a future parody song....so I've heard.

I hope Quentin is coming back soon. Not off to a great start, but the Sox need him in that lineup. And if Beckham is coming up, a spark may just happen.

Very disappointed with this 1 - 2 start against a pathetic team. Once again, the offense sucked. They sucked yesterday and without Thome's 3-run blast, they sucked on Monday.

1. Pods
2. Ramirez or Beckham?
3. Quentin
4. Dye
5. Thome
6. Konerko
7. A.J.
8. Beckham or Ramirez?
9. Getz against righties
9. Nix against lefties

Here's something I looked up this morning, according to Baseball America. Chris Getz, who is once again out of the lineup today, likely due to left-handed Brett Anderson starting for Oakland & because of a slight ankle injury, hit better vs. lefties than righties at Triple "A" Charlotte. #17 in silver & black this year hit .316 vs. lefties, compared to .293 vs. righties for Triple "A" Charlotte. I'm not sure what his averages are this season, his first full season in a White Sox uniform, but guess what, Ozzie? Play Getz vs. lefties!

Here we go again! The White Sox, even with Gordon Beckham's much-anticipated debut at third base, Joshua Fields DHing, DeWayne Wise in center field and Jayson Nix at second base, can't hit...Brett Anderson? :? Meanwhile, Mark Buehrle just gave up a three-run homer to Dan Patrick's buddy Jason Giambi and the A's are up 4-0 going to the bottom 6th. The Sox have an abysmal 1-6 record vs. pitchers they've never seen before, are in danger of being shutout for the 8th time this season, and are lucky to score a DAMN RUN! :x

I have not been able to pay attention to the game, how has Beckham looked at bat and in the field?

Hard to say, RFDC...I thought I heard he was inheriting Wilson Betemit's #15, not #6 as I had hoped for starters. So far, Beckham's 0-for-3 in his ML debut batting 8th at third base, while Joshua Fields...not much better as DH. Gordon did get a nice ovation as he stepped to the plate for the first time.

I thought this homestand would be the defining point of the year. Unfortunately, I still think that.

Missed opportunities, Walt, the White Sox can't get back later in the season if they're still in it...

DAGGUMMIT!!! The A's have added 3 in the top 9th and now have a 7-0 lead vs. the punchless White Sox!

It's over at U.S. Cellular Field, White Sox fans, and I wish the news was better. Gordon Beckham's ML debut didn't go too good, going 0-for-3 with a K starting at third base, while the Sox bats were perplexed AGAIN(!) by another no-name starting pitcher for the A's, Brett Anderson. The Sox lost 7-0 to the worst team in the American League, and got shutout for a ML leading 8th time! :x The A's took 3 out of 4, and the Sox are now 1-7 vs. no-name pitchers! :x :x :x THIS IS EMBARRASSING!!! :x :x :x

To break the streak, maybe eat some no name steak. Boom.
