John Danks gave up 5 runs, all homers, while a pitcher the White Sox HAVE HEARD OF, Carl Pavano is dealing for the Indians! :x The Sox are down 5-0 in the bottom 7th...Hey "Frasier", get ready!

WCIU 26 "The U" better get "Frasier" ready...It's 5-0 in the top 9th as Carl Pavano has allowed only 3 White Sox hits in 8 innings! :x

It's over, White Sox fans...Only 3 hits tonight & the Sox have been shutout for the 9th time this season, a 6-0 loss to the woeful Indians as Carl Pavano went wire-to-wire for the complete game win for Cleveland! :x :x

. . . . . and how right you are. This was another fuckin' brutal loss--no spark at all. I understand that "fire and passion" gets ripped on this board at times, but this team needs someone in that lockerroom to KICK some ASS! I'm sorry, but Carl Everett was that man in 2005.

Paul Konerko is not a leader, A.J. is not a leader, Thome is not a leader. Someone on this team needs to grow a nutsack and start calling people to task!

Have there been times that championships have been won without a "fire and passion" kind of person and/or persona? The answer is a resounding 'yes.' However THIS team needs it. This primadonna, weak-minded team need it big time.

I cannot watch this offense anymore; I just can't.

I predict they will never reach .500 again this year. And just imagine, Detroit has lost four games in a row.

I've been to 3 games this week. 1 W, and 18 consecutive innings of 0 runs. I need a break from White Sox baseball.

That was an awful game. I find it hard to believe this team is being shut down by such mediocre pitchers. Sure a team is going to struggle when Quentin and Dye are out and replaced by the Panzy and Wise but this is ridiculous. With a lefty on the mound today I'm hoping Nix is in right and Wise is on the bench. Not that Nix is the end all be all but at least he has a chance to get a hit.

2 things I saw from Beckham last night.

1) Take a couple pitches. Nothing wrong with being aggressive but he only saw 4 pitches in 3 AB's last night. When opposing teams see that he'll swing early in the count they're not going to throw him strikes.

2) He has to stop tapping his glove after fielding a groundball. He made a couple plays closer than they should have been and a fast runner will burn him sooner rather than later.

S. Podsednik lf
A. Ramirez ss
J. Thome dh
P. Konerko 1b
A.J. Pierzynski c
J. Fields 3b
J. Nix rf
C. Getz 2b
B. Anderson cf

I got my Nix wish but Fields is playing instead of Beckham (sigh). I also think it's time to end the Alexei in the two-hole experiment.

Its time to end a lot things with this team. Wise continues to prove he has no place on an MLB roster.

Bacon had 3 at bats last night and saw 3 pitches. I think Oz just wants to get him a day to calm down.

Very nice win. Good to see Gavin rounding into form. Thornton was throwing bb's. Hopefully Fatboy will throw a good game tomorrow and the Sox can win the series.

What a great game to go to, octavio dotel made me a little nervous, but shoutout to thorton who just came in and shutdown the indians... I couldn't really see the strike zone from where I was sitting, but it seemed like the indians were really upset with that last third strike to end the game.

Even the unbiased Hawk said it could have possibly been a ball. Still very good to get the win here... we needed it badly.

Today's starting lineup vs. Cleveland lefty Jeremy Sowers was a makeshift one with Jermaine Dye serving the last day of his suspension. One of the guys I want to bring to your attention is second baseman Chris Getz, White Sox fans. I have been on my soapbox urging more playing time for Getz, and today, Sox fans, you saw proof positive that he can hit left-handers. He may have struck out in his first at-bat, but #17 got 2 hits and scored what turned out to be a clutch insurance run in the bottom 7th this afternoon in the 4-2 Sox win over the Indians. It's my understanding that the Indians are starting another lefty tomorrow, but he's another in a long line of pitchers the Sox have never seen before, David Huff. Where I'm going with this is Getz, though a left-hander hitter, had a higher batting average vs. lefties than vs. righties last season in for Triple "AAA" Charlotte, according to Baseball America. Spending most of last season in Charlotte, Getz hit .316 vs. lefties compared to .293 vs. righties. Also, Joshua Fields actually resembled a Major League Baseball player with his solid game today at third base, going 2-for-4 with a home run. The more I think about it, the Gordon Beckham call-up was a panic move and I'm not so sure it was that necessary at this time.

Unfortunately, I never gave it much thought. Wilson Betemit was a defensive disaster the last 2 games he started in Fields' place before the Beckham call-up at third, and wasn't much better at the plate in the very limited time he played either at third for Joshua or at first base for Paul Konerko. That trade the Sox made in the offseason with the Yankees for Nick Swisher isn't looking so good for either team...

It was a win for the Sox, in that the Yankees took over the bigger salary. Thats all that trade was ever about-dumping Swishers salary.

Colon blows, another win/win for Kenny.......unfortunatley his ERA is catching up to his weight.

I don't think the Sox are going to come back and win this game because they've never faced Huff, he's a lefty and slow power hitters hit into double plays--along with brutal pitching.

It just seems Colon doesn't give a fuck out there. I don't care if he had 2/3 solid games, get rid of him now because he will not last--just like Contreras.

Speaking of Can'treras, he's pitching tomorrow, which means another fuckin' loss. In fact, they may get swept tomorrow by the 1st place Tigers. Hell, they can't beat the A's and pathetic Indians.

I'd rather bring up a rookie and have similiar stats then have crap-ass Colon out there. He's done. We probably will not see another good performance in awhile from this fuckin' slug.

Don't know whose decision it was to start Colon and Can'treras as 4th/5th starters, but it was a huge mistake.
