The key to that hole is what buryman did. You have to be able to carry that water on your first shot because the water comes into play too close on your side of the hole. I mentioned above in this thread that I had a perm tee time there for 4-5 years and I would estimate I par's that hole maybe 3 or 4 times over those years.

Yeah, no doubt it was a tough one. Greens were in good shape. Very large
and undulating. Overall the course was in nice shape and most fairways
were very wide and inviting. A handful of tight holes but that was to be
expected. Overall an enjoyable place to play.

that was the beginning of me hitting into the water 3 out the next 4 holes.
and it think 3 shots to get out of the sand....worst hole of the day for me.
#10 is a bear.
my lower back is killing me so, it was really a good time. 8)

Definitely a course to make your bones on the front and hang on for the back.

really great event, wish I could have stuck around. Double thanks to T-Bone for the prizes and buryman for the hookup. Everybody should use golfnow.com. Good stuff. Scramble on the back nine got us done very quickly as more often than not I would drive, kd would have the midrange and Zack would sink the putts. Extremely enjoyable, good weather (despite FM Ranger) and the Cubs won. We've got to do this again...

One of the best drives I hit all day and you need it from the blue tees. Even though the greens were large i couldn't hit an ocean from 115 yards and in yesterday. The worst part of my game and one of the most important but it was an awesome time. T-Bone could out drive the DaliLama anyday. There were talks about a larger CSFMB event in September with possible celebs mixed in along the way. CoF, the socks went staright into the laundry and not the garbage.

buryman, old man river, and tbone are all quite impressive off the tee...
holes 10-15 were a struggle, but we all rallied for the last 3 holes and did pretty well.

Luckily the big money games didn't start until the 18th hole.

Thanks to CoF and buryman for organizing our golf outing yesterday. It was great meeting everyone and it was a great time. We need to work on getting the beer cart girl to drive around the back 9 though. Hopefully we'll have another CSFMB outing towards the end of summer.

bury and T-Bone hit the golf ball a mile. T-Bone hits a 1-iron and hits it well. It's damn entertaining. And Doug's short game is very, very good. Great touch with the flatstick. I need to take lessons from him.

i wasn't as well oiled as i usually am when i golf, but i didn't mind; kddidit was stocked with enough pepsi to produce some epic belches, though. it was hilarious.

As my putting woes progressed, I needed a beer or some eye candy to take my mind off things. But we did have the old ladies with their ball retrievers to give us a good laugh.

i didn't think the cart girl was exactly eye candy, but the women in front of us were quite amusing.

CoF accidentally hit his breaks too hard and the cart squealed, and we noticed there was a spring in their step (even went as far as sprinting with their carts)--they thought we were giving them a signal of "hurry up". when we talked to them, we apologized and stuff. i thought it was pretty funny.

it was hilarious...they thought I was mad at them. I tried to explain that the brakes were locking up, but they weren't buying it. Then, as we passed them up on hole 13? I managed to squeal my brakes again because an older Indian lady threw my ball at me from out of bounds...strange hole, but really funny...

I was thinking she was eye candy because I normally don't see much on the golf course. But, I'm not fooling anyone. I'll admit I do have a strange taste in women.

The story on 13 is hysterical. How could you not believe a guy like CoF? So was the Indian lady pissed or was she just returning your ball?

I couldn't tell, but she almost winged me. I don't think she expected me to stop, and I didn't even know she had the ball. Actually, I think it was someone else's now that I think about it, because I hit my best drive of the day on that hole...

I didn't see a camera anywhere. We'll have to consider that next time.
Some action shots would have been pretty funny.
