Over/Under on the amount of Cubs runs this 3 game series? I'll set the number at 6.

And strongly considering taking the under...

They will have one game where they score over 6...and two games where they combine to score under 5

Aaron Miles made today's lineup! He's such a good hitter. Really happy we're going to get that extra POP in the lineup today that we so desperately need. And thank god Hoff is on the bench. He can't hit anything!

what has hoffpauir done to show he should be playing every day? i like hoff, he is a nice bat off the bench, but the guy is not an every day player. he should get spot starts against tough righties, and thats about it.

Besides consistently putting the bat on the ball? Seems to me the Cubs could use some help scoring runs these days and Hoff has shown he has the ability to help make that happen. I mean I know he can atleast consistently get the ball out of the infield. I get that finding him a spot on the field right now is difficult, but for goodness sakes, it would be great to see us try to assemble some sort of a lineup that makes the opposing pitchers think a little.

he is hitting .266 with an OBP of .314. he has struck out 25 times in 109 at bats. hes a left-handed stick off the bench with occasional power. he hasnt done anything to show he should be in the lineup day in day out. again, im not hating on him, but id rather see big jake fox, and neither one of them are likely to ever be every day starting MLB players.

obviously Hoff & Miles play different positions, but if we are strictly talking about batting...Miles is a pussy, and Hoff is less of one....so Hoff wins. BREAKING NEWS - Milton Bradley has gotten a base hit.

I'll take a left handed stick with occasional power right now. I realize that he's not an every day player on most teams, but the Cubs are not most teams when it comes to offensive numbers. I know his stats aren't great though, I just like that he seems to hit the ball hard when he does hit it.

Can I go back to making fun of Miles now? He's already had an infield pop out so far today.

I am so tired of this mountain of suck that the Cubs throw out there every day.

Fontenot in the 2 spot? Great idea!

Let's follow that up with the colossal fail of Milton Bradley.

Oh we aren't done yet my friends..

How about Bobby Scales and Aaron Miles to round out the bottom of the lineup? Woo Hoo.

NO fucking wonder we can't score any runs.

Couldn't find a spot on this Mendoza line average hitting team for Jake Fox?

Unreal.

Bradley is having an awful day.
Lost a ball in the lights.
Made a baserunning mistake that ended the inning.
Now, with runners on 1st and 3rd, 1 out, Bradley catches the popfly, and throws it into the bleachers.
Lord have mercy.

Bradley throwing that ball into the stands was one of the stupidest things I have ever seen on a baseball diamond and I watched Sosa play for a decade. My God. And how does Lou not pull him immediately?

I have never understood how a professional ball player cannot know how many outs there are in an inning. Thankfully it did not cost them any additional runs.

The lights have no business being on. This happens across MLB. I'm not more than 6 or 7 miles west of the park, and its sunny here.

On the brightside, only 2 1/2 years left of Bradley's contract!

Pineilla needs to get in his face so that he gets his head out of his ass.

You know it never takes long in a thread for someone to make this dumbass comment.
There is no such thing as funbad for a real fan of the team. Bad is bad, and it's miserable to be bad.
