North must love Baum filling in for him. Kowing Baum might not want a full time morning gig.

But I personally hate listening to Dave Baum's 50 year old radio shtick

Comment 1

What do you get by firing dusty Baker, blab blab, making the case that it is not is fault

Comment 2

Look at how bad they have done under dusty

So Kenny Williams saying LAST NIGHT that if Ozzie crosses the line again he may find himself jobless, is old news??

Same stuff for 30+ years.

I am guessing North has a hand in dave takeign his place, because I was listening to Mully and Hanley and they sounded good

Everytime I turn on Baum, he's talking up the Olympics coming to Chicago...Olken's not bad, but Baum needs a dirtnap.

I don't mind Olken.

Baum belongs on some elevator music station, or WGN. Or better yet, in a casket.

I remember Baum being brutal when he filled in for Shaer (who was also brutal) like 16 years ago. Didn't Baum used to play some song for his intro that went "Number one dominator, nuuumber onnne"?

Is Olken better than he was when he was on the Sports Huddle? Who else was on that...was it Tom Green and Chris "Nay! Nay!" Cross?

The Sports Huddle was definitely during the meat era of chicago sportstalk radio.

Sports Huddle was the equivalent of listening to a typical Jesse Rogers Crapfest

Cant Hate Grandpa Dave, great full blown talk show host, maybe not a modern day rock n roll morning guy though

I don't remember Olken on the Sports huddle.

Olken use to do "Sportsline" back on the old AM-1000, prior to becoming ESPN Radio. Olken for a while co-hosted with Dave Wills, but mostly, was solo. Dave Juday back then did the updates. Good times.

Baum was an old fart when I was a kid listening to him and Clark Webber on the original WIND in the late 70s... hard to believe that he's not using a walker to get into the studio.

I think I just dated myself.
