Looks like less and less people have visited the saloon in the past 4 days.

Can we put the Closed sign up?

I still listen. It annoys me more than it entertains me. There is a little too much picking at each other and some of Harry's bits are stupid but there isn't much to say about it either way, good or bad. There is a lot of fluff and not much substance so it's hard to get involved in it.

Some of it is habit. I have 2 free hours in the afternoon when I get on the computer, read, clean, or whatever and I can't listen to B&B. I wish there was a better option but there isn't.

I see. I personally go with B and B being the lesser of the two evils...but if you like just regular talk...Roe Conn is pretty funny

I'm starting to like Berns more and more everyday. Especially the solo show yesterday. However, I flip when they get into stupid meatball caller arguments where Dan beats the caller into agreeing with him, then hangs up. When the Saloon talk Cubs or Jurko Sox bashes just to rile Carmen, I flip back...sometimes that happens concurrently. So, I have to sit in silence for 3 minutes.

I must be the only one that enjoys Dan's verbal brow beating of callers. If they have a meatball point, they should at least stick to their guns in the wake of Dan's verbal firings. The only thing I don't like is he doesn't give them time to breathe when trying to respond to his verbal salvos. Give them a chance to make a cogent point if they can, lose them if they can't.

Dave...
Meatballs can't stick to a point because they don't have one! So, hang up on them after 20 seconds instead of keeping them on for a minute and a half...

Still slipping back and forth. Bad timing for WSCR as that TB Mac transition probably would have kept me there.

I simply cannot understand how any sane person could choose listening to a show where Harry is the headliner over B and B.

Mitch ought to look into hiring Carmen DeFalco.

The guy is a talent.

I can't deal with B&B anymore, only in very small doses, ESPN has a bad signal 150 miles south of the BigCity so I spend my afternoons listening to the Roe Conn Experience.

Glad to have Mac back where i can listen to him

The Saloon ain't closed. It ain't closing.

They may not offer the 'top shelf' product any longer, but sometimes a cold PBR is better than the stale and old keg of beer down the dial.

What had Harry's panties in a bunch around 5:10 p.m.? It had something to do with Bruce Levine -- I think?

To answer Brian Mojito, they were talking to Bruce, and Harry asked question about Milton Bradley how he has done like 10 things since he's been here, but Harry started the question by saying that Derrick Lee has been here 5 and half years and has done nothing wrong. Then Levine, when he answered said twice, I don't know why D Lee has anything to do with this. Harry responded by saying that he could have picked 10 other players that have been good, but went with D Lee, and Levine basically kept saying that this has nothing to do with this.

A couple of intresting things too about this, and I maybe wrong about this, but I don't think Carmen said anything, which could show he is still a little green as being the host of the show, because Jurko took over by defending Harry, and even though wanted to ask a question, basically just said good-bye to Levine to put an end to it.

Also, Harry did say after Levine was off the phone, his usual I love Bruce, but has just about had it and was going to start to fight back.

This topic may not have many posts lately, but we may be getting a radio fight soon, if the way everybody's going keeps up.

I'm still waiting for someone to get on Bruce about his belief that Jim Hendry knew much more than any of the people who had observed Milton Bradley over the past decade.

Harry is ear-bleeding radio at its highest peak.
He "joked" about a new Shakespeare play, "Richard 1 1/3", on Thursday. Hey genius, he threw one inning.
