and the Webio Boys will also be working the Mens Room (in more ways than one) so let's sing: "The whole town's talking about The Webio Boys, The Webio Boys, The Webio Boys..."

That's the plan for Friday, and it's the first of three straight Miller Lite live broadcasts as the White Sox host the Cubs this weekend. The SCORE will broadcast live from 9a-10p this Friday coinciding with the beginning of the second Interleague series.

So is this the last hurrah for Murph? Is he still on the WSCR website because of this contractual engagement? I hope Mitch keeps him on board for weekends & possibly Hit & Run.

They did say he was staying around until Sept. Gotta keep him in case a Cubs playoff run gets stumbled into.

I know some of you guys from when I worked down the dial. Stop by and say hello if we haven't met, and you are coming to Murphy's.

I guess bigfan's not as excited as me to randomly encounter another crowd controller on a message board. :(

1 hour more than he's had the past 2 weeks.

Mitch is just daring him to break bad on the air so he can fire him and not pay the last few months of his contract.

Pretty popular Cubs message board.

I don't get it either...Besides after what Mac recently said about Murph, the former Bleacher Bum likely will flip Mac & Matt Spiegel off come 1p tomorrow & won't do any crosstalk after the "Scoreboard Update"...I've got a better idea. Why not have Mac & Spiegel do an extra hour come 1p and then crosstalk with Chris "The Ranger" Rongey?

What's with remoting on the S-Side when the games are on the N-Side and vice versa?

Actually, Vinny, while SportsRadio 670 broadcasts from 9a-10p tomorrow from Murphy's, they'll be on the South Side for the remaining 2 days this weekend. Miller Lite sponsors all three days of live broadcasts before & after the White Sox/Cubs' series at "The Cell". Saturday, Brian "The Whipping Boy" Paruch & Steve Rosenbloom start a marathon broadcast at Morgan's Bar & Grill at 1325 S. Halsted from 8a-12Noon, followed by the Ranger's "White Sox Weekly" show at 12Noon, leading into pre & postgame, with Zach Zaidman wrapping up the live broadcast from 7-10p. Finally, Mitchell's Tap, not far from U.S. Cellular Field at 3356 S. Halsted, broadcasts live with Zach's "Hit & Run" from 9a-12:30p, the Ranger's White Sox Radio Network pre & postgame, and wrapping up with Hub Arkush after the game until 10p Sunday.

How early do you think I'd have to show up to get a seat at the bar?

I don't know if that's true, but it's certainly what Mitch did with Fred and George...

It was good to hear Murph again on the radio.

Say what you will about the guy - but he's a passionate baseball fan, and it's great to hear him criticize the Cubbies.

Murph should do weekends again.
There is stuff happening live for him to talk about.

He was great on weekends years ago.
