pizza_Place: I'm a Gelsosomo's guy.
I like seeing the behind the scenes of what really goes on. I unlike a lot of people don't think that Mac will ever want to be paired with Jurko again. This is just my opinion, but my guess is that he wants to leave that relationship in the past.

Typical of ESPN actually.

I'm in the minority and not the target audience, fine. I listened for 4 minutes in the car today and Speigel says damn. Then I hear "Mom that guy on the radio said damn!" I say "Yes he did" and get the response "he shouldn't say that, that's a bad word."
So I flipped to W&S. He used it twice in about 20 minutes the other day and I flipped then too.

I can swear a blue streak to make a truck driver blush but I don't speak like that around everybody. I can and have also explained to my kids why certain words get said by certain people at certain times, myself using them included. I also think if you use damn a lot it loses it's impact. Then he is saying it just to say it and sounds...gameshowy/pontificy.

They don't have to be all things to all people and should do the show they want. Mac & Matt both have successful radio careers, are dedicated to their job, enjoy it, and are very likeable hosts. Some of the rules at ESPN weren't all bad and probably helped to make MJH as successful as it was and keep in mind there is a very good show on opposite of them.

So you don't mind cussing a blue streak, but yet you turn off Mac because the word "damn" is used a couple times? Me thinks there is a word for this.

Methinks there is a word for people who use the word "methinks".

It was Matt, not Mac, and they are on the radio, I'm not. Frank was crapping on ESPN for it but it's not necessarily a bad policy, my post was more to Frank. It wasn't once after a bad game that I could maybe explain. It's going to be part of this show's culture. I'm sure they don't give a shit if I listen or not.

Maybe ESPN wasn't all bad with some of their little rules and this new show can be successful without trying to be the anti-ESPN. Mac had to play the heavy to Harry a lot I'm guessing. He said no to Harry's stupid ideas. ESPN did the same for Mac in some ways. This spin the wheel Tuesday wouldn't have flown at espn that's not a bad thing. They could easily work some of these stories into a regular show but I think making a segment about it every week is garbage.

I don't hate them, I'm not mad about it and I'll still listen. Just not when I have the kids with me, especially since there is still a viable alternative.
