I just read this in Paul Sullivan's article and it made me laugh:

http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribu ... -woes.html

Quote:
So the Sox need the Cubs to help them draw fans? White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen was asked why attendance was so low at the Sox-Dodgers series, and said: "Because our fans are not stupid like Cubs fans. They know we're (expletive)."

Guillen said Cubs fans will go watch any game at Wrigley Field because "Wrigley Field is just a bar."

I don't really agree with this, but I enjoyed it...

Well I think there is some truth to it, to be honest. Wrigley will always draw because the neighborhood is an awesome place to go an enjoy a day, and Comiskey won't draw unless there is something worthwhile to watch. Folks will watch this crosstown stuff... if the Sox are in the pennant race down the line against the Twins or the Tigers, they'll draw pretty well.

Sounds like Lou has one of those pesky dingleberries that wont let go. It's real easy to fill a park when they are bussing them in. I think one of their own managers summed it up best. Lee Elia, look it up, it still rings true. Only now, however, at the games it's a bunch of rich dickheads who can pass their work on to some poor underling. Bye- bye "Bleacher Bums". Most of these clowns don't know if they are at a ball game or a Dave Matthews Band concert. If I were to open a white hat and kitchy beer t-shirt stand, I'd make a mint. Although, I could also just open a stand with good food and decent beer and possibly also make some decent coin...but then again I'd have to participate in the dick festival when pissing. I'll take my urinals, my tailgating encouraged parking lots, my Kosher beef and Miller products and the World Series win within the last century. However, I'm still not showing up if they suck, because that's the name of the game. Peace...
