You simpering little hypocrite, you already gave up on your team. Change your mind again? Frank, with all the heartfelt sincerity I can muster, I wish you the best of luck sorting out your scrambled cerebral soup. Good luck.

Your big words just make you sound like more of a jackass. Show me the quote where I said "I'm done, I give up." I never said anything like that. I merely said I was stepping back for a few games/days until this team had turned it around. Doesn't mean I wasn't following them, it just meant that I was not going to sit glued to the TV for 9 innings while Oakland and Cleveland were beating them up at the Cell.

Again, the mantra is Sox fans are obsessed with the Cubs, yet in this thread you have precisely ONE post about the Cubs, and the rest are feeble, terribly misplaced jabs at me.

Ho hum.

I think (if I remember correctly) that Frank said he was not going to bother watching the team closely unless they got back to within 2-3 games of the Tigers. He was fed up and would rather be golfing (I would love to see Frank TRY to play golf) instead. Something like that. I guess with the team on a hot streak, he moved it up a bit, rather than waiting till they got to within 2-3.

Makes an attention starved dweeb, like yourself, feel good, doesn't it?

Sarley to the rescue! With another big swing and a miss.

shitforbrains Steve, here is my exact quote. From the Sox/Indians thread about 2/3 down the first page in the Sox forum
Frank Coztansa wrote:
I've been to 3 games this week. 1 W, and 18 consecutive innings of 0 runs. I need a break from White Sox baseball.

A break does not mean give up. You people either need to learn to read, or get a new hobby. You people all think I just crave that attention, and then you all flood the thread with posts about me.

"Sox fans are obsessed!"
chyeah, right.

Frankie,
Admit it! You love the attention. You go out of your way to create situations where you are mocked and ridiculed.
I really enjoy reading your stuff, but sometimes you are just too easy.

Where do you improve this team seeing that we have so many contracts that cannot be moved?
Starting pitching is fine. Need another lefty in the pen and a righty or two.
1B, 3B and C are solid.
Every other position could be upgraded, but you can't move the guys playing those positions.
Getting a SS and moving Theriot to 2nd is about all you can do to improve.
On top of all else, this is the most lethargic team I have seen in a long time on the North Side.
This season is killing me.

I think the jury is still out on Soto. I know he wont the rookie of the year last year but let me give you two words: Jerome Walton. There isn't enough history yet to make that judgement. Especially after his extra carricular activities to start this year off.

But I agree that there is nothing that can be done this year from a management's role. The only change that can happen is if this team hits like they are capable of.

Frank, whichever words you choose, meatball is a charitable description of you and jackass far more apropos.
Wear it proudly as you seem bound and determined to prove it.
Go ignore your Sox some more in your section. The more shit you leave around here, the more you prove the tired stereotype of Cubsession by Sox fans.
FRANKly, I think it isn't true. I've always said some Sox fans give the smart ones a bad name with their sophomoric insults. You are the embodiment of that stereotype. Thankfully, the majority of Sox fans aren't as myopic as you.

As for the Cubs, (since you're so keen on my opinion of them and of the Cubs themselves) I expect them to lose tonight as well. They've done little to show me that they're listening to Pinella or playing with an attention to detail. So be it.

Nice throw by Fuld, great block of the plate by Soto.

Lou gets tossed arguing a play at first, in which it looked like Wells beat the throw. I wonder if he wanted to get tossed to show everyone he still has the fire.

I love the all-out effort by Fuld. Great defense and hustle in the field as well as on the bases. I wonder if Lou will give him a few more starts to see what he can offer. Wells had another nice start and Gregg (for a change) had a nice uneventful save. Good to win a series, even if it was against the Pirates.

Win a series, you've done your job. That's what they have to do from here on out. Win series, regardless of who they are playing.
