They'd better. Cleveland has taken 2 of 3 the first 2 series they played.

Once you loose a DeRo, what other option do you have?

I'll be interested to see who's in the starting lineup for tonight's getaway game in Cleveland on WCIU 26 "The U". You would think that Jayson Nix starts at second base ahead of Chris Getz, although Chris had 2 more hits last night. Also, I think it's safe to say Ramon Castro is now Jose Contreras' personal catcher. It seems as if Castro & Contreras have created a good battery combo since his acquisition, despite Ramon's low batting average.

Huge game for the Sox tonight. With the Tigers already losing today the Sox can be only 3 games back with a victory. Jim Thome is my pick to click. He's usually good to go yard at least once a series against his old team.

As Murph would say ride the hot pony Beckham. You know if the Sox win Frank will jump back on the bandwagon

I hope I'm proven to be wrong, but I do not like tonite's lineup. Yes, Pods and Thome have a history of holding their own against lefties, but Ozzie should have continued with yesterday's predominate righthanded lineup from last nite. Make sucky Sowers work his ass off!

Thanks to a three-run homer from Ramon Castro and Gordon Beckham's RBI single in the top 6th, the White Sox completed a three-game sweep over the hapless Indians this eve, a 6-2 White Sox winner...

Beautiful! Nice sweep, boys! 2 games over .500 and only 3 games back. Hard to believe this is the same team people were talking about blowing up just a short week ago.

Things change quickly. In another week or 10 days people may be ready to blow it up again.

Eric Wedge better start getting that resume ready, not to mention a razor for that facial hair he's started to grow in the Cleveland dugout...

And so goes the ebb and flow of a baseball season. I'm not gonna get too overly excited, but I'm liking the way things are looking at the moment. :)

Hey, I gave up on the them. Kerchung and Sarley point that out to me every chance they get.

Now, what did these Stockings do in Cleveland?

I'm not going to start doing backflips over a hot streak against the NL and the Indians but I am certainly happy about it...they have beaten Billingsly, Zambrano and Lee soundly though, which IS a good indication things may have turned.

Thats exactly what they need to do though. The Dodgers obviously are good, but when you have the Pirates, Reds, Cubs, and Indians on the schedule, you need to take 2 of 3 if you want to be considered a contender. Thats exactly what they did.

Lets see what they do until the AllStar break. If they can spilt with KC, and take 2 of 3 from Cleveland and Minnesota, that could bode very well for the second half- a second half in which the schedule is pretty brutal at times. If they're still in it at the end of August, that road trip from Aug 24-Sept 2 (4 @Bos, 3 @NYY, 3 @Min), followed by 4 Vs. Bos, 2 vs Oak, 3 @ANA, and 3 @SEA is probably going to make or break 'em.
