A four game series with positive pitching matchups for the Sox. White Sox should roll tonight with Buehrle going against Bruce Chen.

Tomorrow night's game should be a great one to watch with Grienke going against the white hot John Danks. Two young pitchers who are currently at the top of their games.

Sox rotation has been everything they hoped it would be over the last 2 weeks.

They gave Greinke a pretty good beating last time out, would love to see it again.

I can't believe the Royals have to start Bruce Freakin Chen. I really thought their rotation was going to be a strength for them this year.

Fine by me if the Royals want to keep running themselves out of innings.

Why are there 4 lefthanded hitters in the Sox lineup? Move Beckham to 2B and put Fields at 3B. Have the hero from last nite's game catch in place of AJ.

Yes, I'm sure the four hitters in the lineup do well against lefthanded pitchers but make Cy Young Chen work. All four of them have not had good at bats against him. Maybe the second and/or third time around?

That was a dumb play by AJ and that's not something you say very often. It didn't look like he busted it to 2nd and I don't know why he kept going. He was out by 10 feet.

The White Sox win tonight 4-1 as Mark Buehrle may have secured his All-Star spot with 8 2/3 innings of 1 run baseball, and Bobby Jenks saving his 19th at Kauffman Stadium over the Bill Engvall-looking Trey Hillman and a Royals' team that have let reality set in...The Royals are still bad!

-1. At the time, I thought it was a legitimate question.

Again, tonight is just going to be a fantastic pitching matchup for baseball lovers.

I could see both of these guys shutting out the other side for 8 innings with the ultimate win going to one of the bullpens.

Yesterday's game was certainly more exciting than a 3-0 loss to the Pirates.

Hey frank, Sox fans shouldn't be teasing about shutouts.

Why not? I believe last Sunday it was not the Sox who got shutout.

Probably because that would be the whole stones and glass house thing. I believe that the Sox have a bit of a shutout problem themselves this year. No? I imagined all those shutouts this year? 8 for the Cubs, 9 for the Sox, including two in a row. So, really. You shouldn't.
But, to argue that Sox Royals has the potential to be as boring as a Cubs Pirates matchup, well, you might be on to something there. Settle yer ruffled feathers there buddy.

heh, first...DS was just posting pics that should be the sentiments of any Sox fan. Really? Getting excited about a series with the Royals? That should be a breeze. I mean yeah it'll be fun to watch them win, but the Royals aren't exactly competition.

To bring the Cubs into it...is...not necessary. We suck. We know we suck. Yeah they won a good game last night but it was still typically more exciting than it should have been.

Everybody calm down. Calm...calm...serenity now. It's just the Royals, Frank...

Peter Pansy is the worst baserunner in baseball. He makes WAY too many outs on the basepaths and it's getting to the point where he should just keep his dumbass at first.

It's no coincidence that this team started playing better when Beckham started to really turn it on. The bottom of the order is dangerous and he makes the defense SO much better. He may make an occaisional error but Beckham gets to SO many more balls that Fields wouldn't have a chance on. It's scary how much better Beckham is over Fields and he's played the position for less than a month.

When the White Sox called up Gordon Beckham about a month ago, I thought it was a panic move calling this kid up. Joshua Fields had an alarming number of strikeouts and we all remember how miserable Wilson Betemit (remember him, Sox fans?) was both at the plate and at third in very limited action defensively. He's no immediate threat to Alex Rodriguez as far as hitting home runs go, but Beckham has been smokin' the cover off the baseball following an 0-for-13 start. I'm still not so sure he's necessarily the White Sox long term third baseman of the future. With all due respect to Chris Getz, I stand by what I said before and that Beckham will ultimately end up at second base, not third.

Hell of a win against a tough pitcher. That's 7 in a row and 4 games over .500! Keep it rolling tomorrow boys!

I am a big fan of sports stadiums, baseball especially. I really like what the Royals have done with Kaufman, it looks really nice (on TV at least). May have to make the road trip to see it.

I would definitely recommend making the trip to KC to see a game there, it is a beautiful park.

You've been this year (post-renovations)? If so, is it a lot better now?

I have not been this year, but I have been several times in the past and I thought it was a great place to see a game before. I have a few friends that have been this year and say it is even better now.
