Sounds like the Bulls spinning for their fans here.

They said it was a goal to resign Ben Gordon, and now they say that the agent never gave them any of the details of his deal with the Pistons so they didn't know the details of the contract.

In either case, the Bulls were not going to match the offer, and they had to know that Gordon was going to get around $10 million a year, give or take a million.

The Bulls are not going to pay the luxury tax. All this talk about the Bulls wanting to sign Gordon, and then being upset about not knowing the details of his contract with the Pistons is complete garbage.

I have no issue with the Bulls not resigning Gordon, but spare me the garbage.

This is the dumbest rumor since the Bears trading Tommie Harris to get Brandon Marshall.

The Bulls, just like pretty much every other team in the league, want nothing to do with the current Allen Iverson. I really liked him as a player many years ago but he's finished now and his game doesn't translate to average player.

If your team has Allen Iverson shooting 20 times a game you are a lottery team.

They wouldn't go into the luxury tax for Gasol; they're not doing it for Iverson.

The only person this makes sense for is Gordon, because the Bulls could give him a 6th year in a sign & trade. Even if they did, they would take back a cap exception (and possibly a pick) from Detroit, but not a player.

Because Iverson cannot play unless the ball is in his hands. He's not a Ray Allen set shot shooter. Derrick Rose is the PG and needs the ball in his hands.
