I can't see Jurk moving back to Wisconsin (his kids are very involved here and Chicago is his base), but if someone would run an ISDN line into Cal City, he'd happily talk Packer football for 4 hours a day.

I used to live in Jacksonville when he played down there and he was a bit of a folk hero, but he's be taking a huge cut in pay to broadcast in that backwater town.

Jurko has enough money to work where HE wants to.
He doesn't need leverage...he wants to comfortable and have some fun.

Last I looked, WSCR has a Bears post game show available, for one.

If Buffone and OB remain wedded to Mike and Bebe North on the road to oblivion, Jurko and Hampton can fill the slot.

Seems Buffone and OB are the ones really with ZERO leverage.

I could see Jurko on Mac's show and doing a better job on the more liberal airwaves that the Score offers it's broadcasters. but I could see him returning to Green Bay too. I think he could be very happy in either setting. Jurko is smart enough to keep his options open and go with whatever option is best. I think he has some money put away, but I don't think it's FU money at all. I don't think he will have a problem getting another gig. But like Mac, he might be taking a salary cut.

I agree. Sarley is a douche. Time for the ignore list and to move on.

Francis,
Your knowledge of advertising is only surpasssed by your baseball acumen.
That was sarcastic.
Actually, your ignorance is only surpassed by your repulsive personality.
That was a fact.
Wisconsin has its own sponsors?
We are talking about WMVP, which has a relatively poor broadcast range, by the way.
What does Wisconsin having its own sponsors have to do with anything in relation to a Chicago station?
What does Jurko's playing up there and being on radio up there have to do with being on WVMP in Chicago?
Go start a band that somebody wants to listen to.

That's a pretty amusing line, no matter who it's directed at. :P
