Danny Mac made that station and continued to make them money. Pastor and the corporate execs. basically gave it all up to spare themselves more hurt feelings.

Pastor destroys the most entertaining show in the history of Sportsradio in town...which was put together by Mitch Rosen.....
Mitch Rosen then calls the bluff of the quasi-literate Vice Lord wannabe Mike North and his "agent".
Pastor now has his excellent morning show head to head with one of the most popular hosts in the history of Chicago sportstalk instead of the tired worn out sellout Henry Hill.
Mac and Meatpants feed an audience right to Boers and Bernstein.....

I listen to The Saloon and I think Carmen DeFalco is a talent......Jurko and Harry are great guys and entertain.....and Mac has said it was time to move on upon reflection.....Jurk's deal is up and that show maybe in a transition.
WMVP was loaded with local talent just a year ago....Mac, Silvy, Waddle, Hood, Jurk, Harold, JD and Carmen....

Pastor and Hot Dog have shaken the ground here, that is for sure.

We all can have differing opinions, but if you are talking money, the sponsors go where the ratings are, and until SCR beats ESPN in the ratings, Pastor is not the dumbass he appears to be. I am a fan of Mac, but if you can dump his salary and bring in a cheap replacement like Carmen and still destroy B&B, why wouldnt you? It is an inferior product, but the % profit increased bigtime.
Now if/when the ratings shift, then he has some splaining to do.

It's all about money and ratings and MVP is killing the score in ratings. I really don't understand how CJH is winning by such a large margin, but they are. To me, both shows aren't very entertaining and I have found alternatives that are.

For the time being you can't call this move a mistake. WMVP is beating the Score with less payroll. From the listeners' perspective, if you like both Mac (especially w/o Jurko and Harry) + B&B, they no longer face each other.

im exactly with ya half pint... i used to listen to 1000 all day.. now that my radio is set to 760 for macs show it just stays there for b&b.. witch is much more entertaining than i ever realized.
