One week of vacation is not going to make or break his show. As RPB said, IMO it is a no brainer. His family is more important nad he should keep his word to them and their plans.

I don't know. I've said all along that I really like the S&W show but I'd give Daa Maa Naa a shot, but now that I'm switching back I might stay there. Maybe it's just that they've been on together longer but I think it's a better show at this point.

I dont care to argue this...but I had my daughters 3rd b day party saturday...If I was given a job a month ago...I would have told em Im unavailable july 11th...I know its different than being in a public job like he is...but thats how I see it.

Not being a Mac detractor, I'd like to say I have a tremendous amount respect for him. He has faced a lot of adversity in his life and continues to be successful, strive for happiness, and a generous person. Not being an ass licker I'd also like to say if I wanted to hang out with a financially comfortable almost 50 year old man that likes music from the 70's, has a nice house, pretty cool toys, and a good sense of humor I have several uncles I can call or I could scrape up one from the viagra triangle on a Saturday night. Some of you people need to get a grip, it's just my perspective.

He scheduled this vacation, I think he said last week he told 670 he'd be willing to start after it. I think the timing is off too but I'm not going to lose sleep over it or criticize. Not as big of a deal as you lovers or haters make it out to be.

I further think that this is the PD's fault for allowing this. It's dumb. If he came to me in May and said I need a week in July I'd ask that he either go BEFORE taking on his new duities or after they establish the show a bit. I think after 6 months of all the time in the world with the kids they would understand that Dad's got a new gig and that he might have to delay or advance the plans accordingly.
Whatever. It's his call. I found it turned me back to S&W today, which I really enjoyed actually.

Keep in mind he is divorced, so he may not spend as much time with his boys as you may imagine. In fact, that probably makes the fishing trips all that more important to both him and his sons. Dont forget that most teenagers have a little thing called school that occupies a bunch of time between late August and early June.
