I actually enjoy Cubs radio broadcasts when Ronnie's not there.

It seems Santo's missed more road games this year than in years past. I doesn't seem his health will allow him to broadcast many more games other then at Wrigley.

I hope he's doing good (health wise), but the more he's off the air, the more I enjoy the radio broadcast!

Harden was dirty tonight. Looks like he's been featuring his slider a little more. If that's effective, he's nearly unhittable with that change of his.

I'm not a Fuke fan, but I don't mind him in the leadoff spot if he's playing. 25 at bats isn't a huge sample size. He's been dogshit this year and still has an OBP of .370. They'd be lucky to get that from th leadoff spot. Theriot is a very good #2 hitter. He does all of the little things well.

This Nats team may be worse than the '03 Tigers. Good lord do they suck.

As you so brilliantly observed not too long ago, you play who's on the schedule and make no apologies. While I realize you hope the Cubs lose these games, may they continue to disappoint you.

I didn't like the 1st and 2nd, nobody out in the 7th I believe it was and they failed to score. That was eerily familiar to the first half of the season. They didn't bury the Nats until the 9th last night and let them hang around all game tonight. That's asking for trouble. Here's hoping the Nats bats continue to sleep for two more games.

The Cub certainly needed some healing.

 So far, they've been good for what ails the Cubs. Watch, now that they've done just enough to beat a bad team, they'll fuck this up and lose the next two. The way this season has gone, you can just see it coming. I'd love to be wrong! Beating Lannan was big. They have little else to offer in SP and their bullpen is worse. By rights, they should sweep and I hope like hell they do.

Just saw the highlights for tonights game. Horrible 1st inning by Z, 40 pitches is brutal. Theriot is bad at short, kicked a routine grounder. Great catch by Hoff, no way in hell Soriano even looks at that ball. Good to see Ramirez hit a homer. Hopefull Lilly's knee is ok, heard he has been scratched from tomorrows start.

Did you see the glove flip from Fontenot? That was a great play from a guy who has been getting Northed in this forum. See, that undersized little shit can make a play or two when he is not thrown into a position that his 4th grader frame cannot play. I for one am glad that Ramirez is back because I had never seen worse 3rd sacking than I had that the worst half of the cajun connection.

Translated: The Cubs are winning and I don't like it, so I will try to discount it, as best I can.

Having won the first 2 is nice, with a great chance to take 3 of 4, if not sweep. It's nice to see them get off to a good start in the 2nd half. The Phillies are next on the scedule, so they best make hay while the sun is shining, as it's gonna be a bit tougher starting Monday.

Man seeing Riggleman standing in the dugout with that clueless stoic look brings back a lot of memories.

6Ks through 3 innings against Zimmerman? With Wells having a rare bad game, it's a minor miracle we're only down 4-2.

Perhaps Im picky, but is it really wise to have Bradley running with Soriano on a 2 strike count? Good job so far tonight. Let's see if they can finish it off.

We need a way to track Bradley's gaffes during the second half of the season. Kind of like a Shaun-o-meter, we can have a Dumbass-o-meter.

Atleast Bradley and Soriano are both out of the game.

Nice to see Soriano finally hit a homer. Wells was bad, but somehow got the win. The bullpen was horrible. Marmol somehow got out of another mess he created. Heilman needs to go, he is brutal. I think its safe to say we have the worst 2 corner outfielders in baseball. Soriano miss played another line drive, and Bradley kicked another ball out in right. Thank god the Nationals blow, hopefully Hart steps up tomorrow for the sweep.

Wow, get a leadoff double, then some more bad baserunning. Lee sure wasn't running hard, that play took sometime to develop at 3rd.
