Instead of starting a new thread, apparently the Chicago park District wants to talk with the bears about installing Field Turf at Soldier Field after spending 500K last month on resodding it. Makes sense to me.

Field Turf would have finished the job if Tiger had an affair on Field Turf.

They spent 500K in November alone on sod. Plus, your maintenance costs are much less year over year with Field Turf - it pays for itself within a few years.

I know. That's why I posted it. Tribune did a nice article on high schools installing turf before the football playoffs started. I think Naperville Central played all road games until their last one because of the install.

Yep. Glenbard North (HS my kids will go to) installed it over the summer and they were able to start the season on it. Pretty much most good HS distrcts are going to it.

U of C has field turf. I think it's great. It's ridiculous that high schools and D3 colleges can afford it, but the park district is haggling over price when they are spending that much money on sod.

Field Turf takes cocaine ingestion and the points as the contributing factor in the Umaga death pool.

Modern stadiums often needs field turf, because it doesn't know what to do when it doesn't have field turf.
