Me? Not at all - I'm happy as hell I decided to sit down and watch this thing, regardless of who gets it done. An awesome thing to see as a sports fan!

I'm just continually amazed at how some Sox fans watch history unfold and immediately use it to compare/degrade/reference the Cubs. It's unreal.....

Anyone just hear Danny Mac ask Mark a question on the post game?

This is an idiotic statement. Way to (classically) worry about your own team there, Sox fan. Does Buerhle's last no-hitter count, or was that not against a real team.

Beating an Astros team that was loaded up with AAA fill ins in a throw away game at a neutral site is about as weak of a no hitter in the history of MLB.

 Yeah, it sounded like he was holding the microphone in his throat. He just asked his 3rd, which seems to be more than anyone else in the room.

I was thinking the same thing. That dude needs to enjoy what happened (and forget that the Cubs own this town  ).

I'm enjoying it and I don't even like the Sox.

Houston's line up during that game. Full of AAA'ers for sure.

Back to topic, Congrats Mark. That was fun as hell to listen to and watch.

I still don't get why anyone, ANYONE at all, seriously thinks that somehow mentioning a no-no or perfecto "too early" (or at all for that matter) on a freakin' message board or at home watching the game, is going to somehow "jinx" or affect the outcome in any way...

A few thoughts:

1) Sucks that Konerko & A.J. couldn't be a part of it. A.J. especially.

2) Why the fuck did they shaving cream him?

3) I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about the Rays clapping for him. I'm leaning towards being ok with it. Sometimes you just need to tip the cap.

Yeah that's a murders's row alright. On a good day you could say that lineup has 2 quality major league hitters and the rest are either washed up or barely starting their career/hangin onto a job.

I'm thinking "no". The guy just handed your ass to you. Don't make a display of your gratitude for it.

I'd say you can acknowledge and respect it in an interview and such but this isn't the end of a championship series.

Shakes, please stop talking about the Astros and the Cubs. Your making yourself look stupid. Saying the Astros had a AAA lineup is foolish. Just go back to enjoying the Sox victory and the perfect game. Hanging on to what the Cubs did or did not do make you seem envious and quite pathetic.

Thanks, shakes, for reminding me why you're on the ignore list ... it makes one wonder what the going rate for Virtual Village Idiot is these days.

Sox fan says something about the Cubs.
Cubs fans get all mad about why the Sox fan mentioned the Cubs!

It is the circle of life.
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
The Circle of Life

I am not a Sox fan but I am a fan of good baseball and Wise's catch may be the best I have ever seen to save a no hitter, let alone a perfect game. Outstanding.

As for Spanky/Shakes debate - being a Cubs fan, I am just happy to see ANY Cub throw a no-hitter. I will disagree a bit with Shakes assessment of that lineup though - they had 4 good to very good hitters in that game - Berkman, Tejada, Pence and Bourn - Erstad, Blum, Quintero and Newhan are not great, granted. But Berkman and Tejada are Cub killers.

Spanky, I thought you and I were BFF? Why you pawning me off on Shakes now? Are you through with me? Like our friendship has meant nothing to you?

God, I feel like Nicole Ritchie to your Paris Hilton....

PLEASE let's just enjoy this moment and not get into the petty bickering. For too long in this city have we had nothing to cheer for as baseball fans no matter what side of town. Buehrle was incredible with the no hitter and even better today against a better team. Zambrano was awesome in his no hitter, good for him and good for the Cub fans. Why does everything have to devolve into a fight, let's enjoy a little bit of happiness and stop being fuck sticks for a little bit here. I'm SO glad I recorded this game. After the 5th inning I thought he had great stuff and had a chance so figured I'd record just in case. Good thing I did, this is incredible. I have a signed and matted picture from Buehrle after the no no. Now I have to get one for the perfect game and I'll have the start of a hopefully large collection...

Cheers to that Hawkeye. I am not the typical Sox hater and I cheered for the Sox during the WS - I know, I know - you can't do that in Chicago but us Hoosiers are just funny that way.

I am happy for the Sox fans and jealous at the same time and wish I was a fan today....
