Milton Bradley, CHC Jul. 25 - 2:29 pm et

Sources told WGN Radio's David Kaplan that the Tigers are looking at acquiring Milton Bradley to serve as a DH.
Kaplan doesn't make mention of a possible Bradley-for-Magglio Ordonez swap, though that might make some sense. Instead, Kaplan thinks it'd be Bradley and cash, likely with little talent coming back.

If its from David Kaplan, I wouldn't believe that shit either. I'm not a fan of his.

Considering that Detroit can get out of Ordonez's deal if he doesn't get enough at bats (and they are platooning him in order to make sure that happens), I don't see why the Tigers take on a struggling, bad attitude guy like Bradley with 2 more years at big money on his contract.

Stoney must have heard that on some blog, but it makes no sense from the Tigers financial perspective.

Since none of you cheering this trade are Cub fans or are morons who believe the media one question.

Did you morons boo really loudly when Bradley homored?

Only complete morons cheered the idea of this trade. People completely incapable of thinking for themselves.

But we'd have the plucky and most importantly to you white Hoffpauir the greatest player in Cubs history in right!

Im sorry, I missed something here. How is Bradley a better overall player then Ordonez? Yeah, they are rumors, but why are we morons for speculating about them? Its all just good fun.

If the Cubs got Mags for Bradley, the same people would be on here bitching about Mags and his performance. But I do not see this happening, not sure why the Tigers would do such a move.

I didnt like Bradley last year, I didnt want him this year on the Cubs. He was the wrong guy to go after. Im tired of guys of guys like this with their piss poor attitudes thinking the city owes them something before they do anything. I do remember when he hit his homerun(one of what 8 so far this year) and cupped his ear to hear the reaction of the crowd. Congrats Milton you did what you were paid to do, drive in some fucking runs. We all should bow down to him. I would drive to this MF'ers house to pack his shit up and take it to Detroit myself if it got him out of a Cubs uniform quicker.

milton bradley is getting paid 30 million dollars to have 7 home runs and TWENTY THREE rbis and its almost august. even jacque jones had a better first season with the cubs. any actual cubs fun should hope for bradleys departure because hes a waste of a roster space at the moment. you dont sign a guy to that kind of money and then have to bench him mid season because the manager has to personally teach him how to hit.

I don't think the Cubs envisioned this when they signed him. I think most thought injuries would be the problem, but, he's actually stayed, for the most part, in one piece. He just hasn't hit.

23 are bad, but realize that the guy never had more than 70 RBIs as a position player. The worst part of all this is that he was brought in as a left handed hitter and he has been unable to hit from the left side, batting .206.

As long as the voices don't start telling her to clean the guns, *we* will be all right.

This is another wild assed speculation that has no basis in logic. Detroit would be nuts to do the deal. The Cubs would be able to rectify a giant mistake and put someone in the outfield who can fucking count to three.

While their performances to date, have been similarly disappointing to their respective clubs, the contract Ordonez is signed to, allows the team a way to be rid of him after this season. The Cubs (or whomever might trade for Bradley) are on the hook for 2 more years. For that reason alone, I would make the deal, if it were offered. Then I could use Hoffpauir the remainder of the season, in a platoon with Ordonez and when the season is over, look for a true CF and move Fukadome back to right next season.
