Well, IF they get to the playoffs, it will be by a dramatically different margin this season. The past two seasons, especially last season, they had a little time off and that may have hurt them. Of course, it was likely other things like a collective shitting of the pants, but I digress.
It sure as shit didn't help.
So, should they get it this season, they'll likely have to fight like hell to do it. No time off, no resting veterans, and perhaps not even enough time to juggle SP starts to set up playoff rotations.
Then again, they could swoon and the Cards remember that they're the Cards and have done this before and this will all be moot. That's what I expect.

Keep proving me wrong. 8)

right, so are you saying you're joking about him being a cubs fan or are you trying to legitimize it? :P man i'm really after you today. oh well.

congrats cubs on your "sweep" of the "reds", it's really "important"...again, what did we allow 4 runs in the 9th of the series? horrible.

the astros series, however, i will be emotionally attached to. i can feel the meatballery begin to take over my skin already.

Does this Astro Meatball Skin Ailment leave your skin a burnt orange color akin to those delightful uniforms of the 80s?

It's amazing that the poofta with the lit cig doesn't immolate all of them considering the amount of hair gel being used.

From what I have seen, the Italian-Americans on the east coast are an entirely different group then Italians anywhere else in the U.S. The way they talk & the way they dress is different to say the least. How the "GQ" look became popular is beyond me. It feminizes a macho culture. I'm sure most Italian men feel the same way.

Why is this any different from the horrible things you have accused me of?
Is not what you are doing actually trolling?

Urine and acetic acid notwithstanding, Franklin is a bit of a Cub baiting asswipe, not to mention, a chubby little rascal.

Meh.

Mr. Reason, I bet you were very impressed over the sweep of the Reds and Nationals. What with their win %'s of .454 and .306 respectively, how can you not be?!

Yeah i just posted in that thread.
Wood's game was a more dominant performance. But Buehrle's was more effective.

Who cares though?

Here is 2005 Meatball logic, the Cubs don't makeup the schedule.

The Cubs swept a decent team-nothing NOT to feel good about there. With hitters like Votto, Dickerson, Phillips and Encarnacion, it's a pretty good hitting team. Beating Cueto as they did, was nice too, as he's a good (not great, but good) pitcher. The Cubs just have to try to keep the momentum they have built. Even if the positive feelings were built by beating teams they should beat, the confidence it might give them can certainly help. They just have to keep everyone who isn't hurt, healthy and get the guys that are (Soto and Dempster) back. It's going to be a challenging final couple of months, with all the additions (DeRosa, Lugo and Holliday) the cardinals have made. But it should be fun to follow.

What, the Cubs should apologi for the wins? Give them back, perhaps?
It really must suck to be you. Worry about your own team asshat. When you're in charge of the schedule, you can fuck the Cubs to your heart's content. Until then, shut the fuck up. Jesus, you're pathetic. <that's the line you cut and paste for your droll retort>

Of course the Cubs didn't make the schedule. And yes they can only play whoever is listed. That certainly doesn't stop the fanbase from getting all gitty over wins against crap teams!

At first I thought the Nationals were a confused WNBA team. Turns out they're actually baseball players!

Just because you have gender bender fantasies, don't include the rest of us in your purile desires.

Gitty? What does an alley have to do with a fanbase? <I'm setting you up here Frank. It's all yours. You've just got to be giddy with anticipation...>
