i like annie and jen. they should have more female perspectives on the score. in measured doses of course. small doses. but still id much rather listen to a female that dont know what shes talkin about compared to some blow hole ass wipe. that dames on games bit wasnt too bad, i wouldnt mind it once a week at night.

I registered this morning because I felt compelled to state publicly just how much I despise this horrific show. Thank you, I feel much better.

The only reason Jen is on the show is because she giggled at Mike's lame ass jokes and tolerated his sexual harassment/Frank Sinatra wannabe routine while waitressing at Gibsons.

you guys are unreal though. if you hate mike north so much why do you listen to the score? he pretty much is the face of the station, i mean at least he was the one to put the score on the map.


you all sure hate him a lot, so much so that you know every word this guy says, every day. makes little sense to me, but they always say it doesnt matter if your liked or not in radio, it just matters how many listen.

Come on, Ike is north's target audience. The problem is there aren't that many people dumber than Mike, but Ike is living proof there are a few.

That's not the point - you said he is the face of the station. If he is the face of the station, and the station is doing poorly (including his show), then there needs to be some consideration to changing something. Yes, he was a big part of what got them where they are, but if you give him credit for the good times you need to give him credit for the bad.



No, but it certainly doesn't help that the host of the morning show that is failing miserably is used as promoter for every advertiser, during every break, every day. However, they have tied their success to North's, and now WSCR is paying for that.

You like North - that's fine. I don't. I won't argue with your opinion, but I'll support mine. And you haven't given me any reason to believe I need to reconsider my decision to never turn Mike North on.

Ike the way things work on this board is you have to hate North and you have to worship the ground Mac walks on. And hating North really isn't even enough. A lot of the mouth-breathers on here try to one up each for their hatred of North. One guy will say he hates the whole Score station because North works there then someone else will one up him by hating the entire city of Park Ridge. But Mac can lose his cool, get suspended, come back and still act like a like the most arrogant person on the radio (next to Salisbury) and everyone loves him. Also if you try to say you actually enjoy listening to Mike North people will either claim you are under the influence or you are stupid because Heaven forbid your opinion differ from the people on this board.

you made a valid point. if mike really is the face, and the station is on a slide, then maybe something does need to be done with him. but i honestly didnt know the station was doing bad. you all make it seem like its going under, and to me it sounds the same as it has the last 5 years basically.... the earliest ive listened to mike was the wise guys bit, so maybe he was even better before that time, i wouldnt know.

i do know though, its the best morning show out of any i can recieve via am, fm, internet, tv, whatever. so if there is shortcommings i tend to not mind them as i know i aint changing the channel.

so most of these people here knew this product before it went big time then didnt they? that would make more sense to me, as they want their old score back, the local score station.

i can feel for that. it sucks when something made locally gets national attention and control. i see why people think north is a sellout but i know for a fact there is not one person on these boards that would have done different. mike came from basically poverty, he wants to live good now. cant blame him for that.


i also think then many are just not listening to the same content as i am. they hear how its changed, i just take it as is. but if people have been this worried about the station for the last half decade maybe they should just stick to espn?

Ike you teed yourself up good on that one. Are you saying that the MNMS is the way it is cause of the bosses at the mothership?? Who You Crappin?? This is Mike's baby. He could go back to all sports tomorrow and Infinity would cheer, cause ratings would go WAY up.

It's got nothing to do with how much money he makes or him wanting to be a "rags to riches guy" (that bit got old about 5 years ago) On a SPORTS staion, provide a quality SPORTS program, and we will go back to listening to it.

i see what youre saying, but i still think the score's programming is overall better when you can start the day with non-sports entertainment. if mike really did start at 6 and go till 10 talking nothing but hardcore sports, the score would get boring by noon.

the way it is now, we can wake up, get a good laugh and immediate reactions, and one we have our first break at work we can dig into real sports talk. but even if you just listen from 10-3, all of the hosts talk about the same topics mostly, and sometimes i switch b&b off, not because they are boring but they are saying the same stuff said all day.

i think the score's management wanted mike to stay off topic much of the time. thats why they gave him the show in the morning, he's just there to wake up and entertain for the first few hours.

yeah i am. sorry, i apologize again for my ignorance. im not a die hard am talk radio listener or anything. i listen to the score mostly, the espn stuff never attracted me as i really dislike the east coast.
