Ike, why do you think nobody seems to like Mr. Mike?

With the exception of the Sean and Steve show, I don't think any single forum on this boards gets as much negative commentary.

Personally, Mike North's show was the catalyst of me acquiring me Sirius radio and listening to uncensored Howard Stern.

I was surprised to hear the show when they tried to let Mike do an all topics talk radio show. It's one thing to talk sports, joke around and make mistakes all day, but to think his GED education would suffice for intelligent conversation in a modern day society was just plain foolish.

Even with the terrible feedback, they continued on for quite some time? I think maybe a year or more? Then when they switched back to more sports it was done internally, as North would never be able to show up if an actual mandate was handed to him.

Strange enough, I now hear him at 10:15, 10:20 AM talking to Mr. Mulligan and it sounds like the old Mike North. it sounds like the guy who wants to talk sports, not the guy who is arguing with some gold coast mother over cell phones in movie theaters? or other important wordly matters.

In conclusion Mr. Ike, you can't deny the large numbers of people that don't like the MNMS as it is today, but it is a morning show, on a 50,000 watt radio station in Chicago, on what is suppossed to be the FANS station. It should produce some numbers? At least better than a national radio sports show that never talks Chicago sports.

could YOU produce some numbers for me so i can get an idea of how many dislike the show as to ones who enjoy it? and not just people with internet connections, i mean real ratings numbers from whatever corporation it is.


and how could a local station ever draw the ratings a national show does? the coverage nationally reaches far more people, it isnt fair to compare.

Ike Guy I am going to type this under the pretense that you are just playing dumb, but still respond. (Not sure if that makes me a bigger idiot or not, but still going through with it)

1. Yes, we only have a small group of people on the message board here, but the dislike for Mike and his show is a vastly higher % than any other show. Now I am no statistical genius, but the sample size here might give someone some indication.

2. Personally I think the dramatic improvement of the show could be done in one quick move. Replace Anne with someone funny that knows sports. The worst part of that is that Mike knows it. We all know it. You might even know it, unless your last name is Wells?

3. The ratings are only based on local ratings. So even though a show is national, the listeners in Boise don't count. (Did you really not know this?)

4. I am sure someone can give you the Ratings link here. I just dont know exactly where they are, but people post them often enough. I don't know exactly where Mike's show is ranked. They might even be ahead of M&M, but they have been behind, more than ahead during the past years and if they are ahead this time, it is not by enough because as you may have heard "The ratings are flawed".

5. If anyone hurts your feelings again, you just tell me and I will take care of them, as I saw you stated someone made you feel bad. We will not stand for any of that "Making people feel bad". There will be mandatory sensitivity training classes for all board members who make you "FEEL BAD"
