The fat slob said on Baseball Tonight, that Lou should move Dempster to the bullpen to become closer. This guy is a fucking idiot.

I heard somebody on B&B suggest this earlier today. Kruk stealing ideas from SCR listeners?

Kruk once admitted that he was told to say things that he didn't believe but just so he could be different. So a lot of times I don't listen to much of what he has to say. Or most of the baseball tonight guys anyway.

Here's a list of the reliable former baseball players turned analysts on ESPN:

Orel Hershiser

The rest of them are brutal.

Stupid suggestion. I'd start giving Guzman some closing experience.

I was thinking the same, until tonight. He has the stuff, but obviously can't locate his pitches.

Im pretty sure everything on ESPN is pre-packaged and scripted. They offer no real analysis or their own opinions.

During last seasons all star break they did a segment where each person picked who they thought was going to win the division. When they came to the NL central Kruk wanted to pick the cubs but was told to pick another team because Steve Phillips was picking the cubs. Kruk said he didn't want to pick another team because he thought the cubs would win. The producers forced him to pick a different team so Kruk went on the air and predicted the Pirates would win the NL central (they were 12.5 games out at the time). Just one of the many reasons why I don't watch or listen to ESPN.

He once got so made that he threatened to take his ball and go home.

That's awesome. A very clever way of saying "fuck you" to the production staff.

He also said that the Cubs babied Mark Prior and his arm by limiting pitch counts/innings and he was/is shocked that he has such injury problems.
