If you don't like a radio show, then PUNCH THE FUCKING BUTTON  There is NOTHING more annoying than someone bashing a show all day long, every day, yet never missing a minute. I'm not talking only for the Mac show, but radio/TV overall. If you hate it that much, why do you listen/watch??? PTFB!

Mac & Spiegs, you guys are doing a fine job IMO, don't let a group of assholes get you down. Keep doing YOUR show the way YOU want, not the way a bunch of pantless assholes tell you to.

Now I'll me labeled an als'er. Fuck off.

Right now my listening starts with Mac & around 100pm ,I switch to Garry Meir.
At least I have a plan now, instead of bouncing all over the dial.

I've been listening to Garry too. I'm surprised that I enjoy him as much as I do because I never thought he was much of a lead host, but his show is good & Garry is funny.
The guy that does the Santo impression is hilarious.
The problem with WGN is that you never get more than 7 or 8 minutes of uninterupted radio...they are constantly going to traffic, weather, something. It disturbs the flow of the show.

Jack, FYI I was listening everyday until I was basically told to PTFB and you know... I did. That's why I caught that interview I referenced earlier.
It's like going to a grocery store you go to every week, and you buy a bunch of shit and when you get home you notice the mayo you bought is past it's date, so you go back to tell them they may have a case of old mayo on the shelf and to get a new jar, and the manager says, "You know what? Shop at another fuckin store!" even though you drop a hundred there every week for your groceries.

BINGO! They have a new PM there, you would think he would hit on this. He is trying to get a younger crowd. (For 'GN,it's probably anyone under 60!)

Darkside - I've said this before but I'll say it again - I agreed with you on your point during that time. I thought it was wrong of Dan to lump you with the other meatballs when all you were saying was that you thought it was bad timing for a vacation. While you took his response personal, I think (and I have no way of knowing) that he may have taken your stance on his vacation time personal as well. That doesn't excuse his response; but as we have seen on message boards when things head to a personal nature (guilty as charged) it can bring out some bad emotions from people.

Personally, I think Dan owes you an apology for that but I don't know if I would wait around and hold my breath for it - I think it's sad that the comments resulted in you not listening anymore though.

Just being honest RPB - just because I like Dan's show doesn't mean that he can't act like a tool from time to time and stepping on Darkside during that whole thing was out of line.

No way he owes me anything. I just got to see something I never really saw before...

Dan might have known that I was a loyal MJH'er for years. Went to several remotes, several emails, calls. he might not have known at all. I'm guessing the latter since I didn't ever try to rub up on him at any of the events we were both at.

And... I haven't PTFB too much, I do tune in between 1000 commercials, thus me hearing the Cutler Maturity Quiz, as taken by the wrong Jay. So he knew I was listening and comparing. Just bloody weird to say PTFB. It makes no sense to me. It's weirdly self destructive.

Let me clarify - it's sad from the standpoint of Darkside being told to leave when he was a fan of Dan's - not sad that he doesn't like Dan - moreso that Dan kind of poo poo'd his fandom and Darkside's listening nature.

As for Rome, I use to listen to him all the time when they replayed his show at night. I thought he was ok and I also thought he was pretty damn brutally honest and didn't kiss ass.

I never thought he got a great shot here in Chicago. Plus, he was parodied (sp?) so much that he became a character of a character. I always thought that he was funny as hell too - and like I said, brutally honest. He was a good listen.

I felt the same way about Farrell (again sp?) on the bench. "How can I be the man when you're the man" - "Pour me a draft.." He was fucking hilarious....

Chicago is not his type of market...anyways he's a niche show (CoF) A lot of people hate him...

Some of the stuff folks get worked into a lather about amazes me, at times.
Just as, some of the stuff that folks DON'T get worked into a lather about amazes me, as well.
Oh well, as usual, I'm just 'outta step Charlie'.
