i see murph as the kid in hs who sucked at baseball but was kept on the team as the equipment mngr and would get into games when they were blowouts. and don't forget, as murph brings up as much as he can, he started the bleacher bums.

i see him in a dissimilar way. i feel he is a very entertaining and talented talk show host regardless of who or what he was as a child. im not sure what his childhood has to do with his current ability now anyway....
