Been trying to download podcasts since yesterday morning and the
player won't work for me. The podcast appears to be loading just
fine but locks up and won't play at all. Just curious if anyone else
was having this problem or if it may be a problem with my computer.
Thanks in advance for your reply.

Podcast has been working fine for me. I update/download from ITunes, and have had no issues.

That is what I figured since no one else has complained about it.
I was just curious if my work has found a way to limit my use of
the podcast. They have been locking me out of different websites
I used to have access to as well.

Might be too obvious a question... but can you right click and download it to the hard drive?

Thanks for the tip, but no dice. Looks like the IT people must have employed something
called Scan Safe that is not allowing me to access the podcast and some of the websites
I used to frequent. That sucks not being able to listen to the podcast at work.
At least they haven't blocked me from CSFMB.... yet anyway.

I wonder if you would be able to open it if someone emailed the stream to you?

Thanks for the thought Dave, but I will likely give up at this point and work on finding
another means to appeasing my sports radio habit. Even if it did work I wouldn't ask
someone to try to forward me these all the time.

Can't you just play the audio feed from the website without downloading?

This is what I usually do and the audio player pops up and begins to load the podcast but
seizes up almost immediately. I think it is blocking that kind of file from even running.
I can't even get to the iTunes site as that is blocked. I will try to paste the alert that
comes up ..... Big Brother in full effect.

Sounds like they locked you out at work.

Bump. Is there a particular reason why the podcasting is especially spotty wrt to the Mac and Meat show? No podcasts at all on Friday, Aug 7th, none so far today. I can't find a way to subscribe to the show in ITunes, either (I did find B&B, tho not the full M&H cast). Given Mac's willingness (of which I heartily approve) to acknowledge or point out how ancillary parts of the operation fall down on the job (engineering problems, traffic reports, promo dept asleep on the job), I am a bit surprised his show is so afflicted.

Yep, was looking forward to listening to the podcasts this morning, right about now, and catching up on today's show.

Frustrating that is so undependable.

They're now putting today's show up. This might be a management issue--maybe the old radio guys still don't really gets the internets.

And we got three/fourths of Wednesday's show! But of course nothing today. Great marketing, boys.
