Hopefully we can win this series, but I doubt it. Tonights lineup is just a pile of shit, really embarassing.

Nah, Fox is playing third.

Happ appears that he can be had. Two on in each of the first three innings, though it's only now in the third that they've batted someone in. Twas Fox, as a matter of fact!

Sure it wasn't Ronny from one booth over?

Looking dominant as well. Hopefully, he doesn't wear out in the next inning or two.

Given Harden's penchant for lasting only 5-6 innings, my pessimistic side wonders what the long-term effects would be if Harden went for the perfecto. I'm not saying he shouldn't go for it, but you have to question what might happen for his next couple of starts.

That is what I was scared of, and what he usually does.

Well, you can cancel the post-game show, the commemorative outfield signage, the statue commission, Rich Harden week at Wrigley, the "Rich Harden- Perfection!" plaque giveaway...

Since he was almost great can he take over in the booth when Ron kicks it?

Gary Matthew's 2-year-old grandkid sang the stretch better than a good 50% of celebrities.

edit: and he had better enunciation than Devin Hester.

McDonough still wants to honor him with a Banner Ceremony before a future Blackhawks game...

These fucking guys should have at least 6 runs by now. Boy, they fucking blow. What a bunch of overpaid stiffs.
But, you can't take anything I say seriously. So, keep that in mind.

Marmol is a big ear piece of shit, 3 walks and a hit batter. Ball 4 to Howard was a strike, but still you need to throw strikes.

Oh well, consider the source, I guess.

Gregg is a piece of shit. Wish someone would punch him in the face a bust his fucking goofy glasses. Got 10 hits and 3 runs again. While the Phils have 3 hits and 4 runs.

All year long - WHY do all of our power guys only have warning track power?

Do they keep stats of warning track files, because if they do, the Cubs have to be leading the league. If half their warning track balls this year were home runs, they'd have a 6 game lead in the division.

As good as the Cubs pitching has (generally) been this year, opposing hitters manage to reach the seats when they tag one. Why don't ours?

* Just looked and they're 4th in HRs in the NL... higher than I thought they were, but still, it seems like a disproportionate number of balls die on the track, at least to this meatball's eyes.
