Lilly needs a solid comback start - Dempster needs to get it together tomorrow - Wells should be fine Wednesday.

I fucking hate Aaron Miles - I can't believe Lou can actually pick up a pencil and write that guys name on a lineup card. When he writes it, do you think he just laughs to himself?!?! I know I would - guy is a joke!

Is that three games Gregg has lost on walkoff homers?

I laughed out loud at the statements in bold. Good stuff  There's got to be a guy on every team that makes his manager just roll his eyes whenever he speaks, e.g. "Oh, I've been graced by the great wisdom of no less a baseball legend than Augie Fucking Ojeda."

Yea, the first though he just blew the save. We won it in extras.

With Lou continuing to use Gregg as the closer, the Cubs are going nowhere.

The Cardinals have a far greater chance of advancing should they get into the playoffs. At 15 over .500 now, they are looking like the NL Central champs of 2009, even if the Cubs do have an easy schedule down the stretch, because the Cardinals have a similar schedule. With Carpenter, Wainwright and Piniero helping the Cards to win 21 of the previous 24 games they started, the redbirds would be a legit thrat in the playoffs. With the additions of DeRosa, Julio Lugo (doing a great job for them as a leadoff hitter) and matt Holliday hittingjust under .500 with the Cards since the trade, they are a strong offensice club too. I hate to say it, but they are just the better team in 2009 and should win the Central and advance into the playoffs.

the cardinals always seem to make smart moves. no matter who they go after it seems to work out. the cubs on the other hand seem to have the opposite effect on players, especially hitters. i dont know what it is but they seem to forgot how to hit when they get here

Dempster completely ignores Headley, he steals second. Kouzmanoff drives him in during the same at bat with a single. A snapshot of why this team sucks.

This team is totally pathetic. Zero fire from anyone. Just a bunch of overpaid stiffs.
