Lou make one good decision today demoting Gregg fron the closers role, then fucks it up by making Marmol the closer. What the hell has Marmol done to earn & deserve this job?
Guzman should be the closer. Period.

Who should Lou name as closer that is capable of actually closing out games? The team is an absolute mess, and although Lou is owed his fair share of criticisms, in this instance, it's more or less picking your poison.

Exactly. There is no clear cut choice on who should close these games as everyone in the bullpen has been bad. Why not let Marmol close? is he going to be worse than Gregg?

Captain Kirk, who do you suggest closes these games?

This kind of decision making is why this team sucks. For whatever reason lou and probably those above him feel like they owe something to veteran guys who are clearly not doing the job. They don't make decisions based on winning ballgames, they make decisions to try not to upset the veterans. I don't give a shit who has "paid their dues" and who is still earning "clubhouse respect". I want to see the best players on the field winning ball games. For instance: why the hell did they have to wait a season and a half to drop soriano to where he should have been in the batting order, why the hell did gregg get the job out of spring training, now that there is a change why isn't guzman getting it as marmol has absolutely no command of anything resembling the strikezone thus far in the season, why did miles start as soon as he came off the DL? There is a difference between showing confidence in your players during adversity and coddling your veterans so you don't upset them.
