Pinella baffles me with his lineups. Kosuke has been the best leadoff hitter in the majors since he's been put in that spot yet he puts in Theriot at leadoff and Fukudome in the 5 hole

Yep. Solo HR regardless; at least for his first AB.

i have to give the dodgers credit. walking kosuke to get to soriano and then throw him three straight sliders 5 feet outside was a good move on their part

Your avatar is too close to reality for me in regards to the Cubs. Pending a blood test...ah.....whatever

Lou taking Gorzo out of the game after 5 innings when he retired i think 6-7 guys in a row and let Aaron f-ing Miles pinch hit I think was my breaking point with this team.

It's almost like he put Miles in to say fuck you Jim, this is what you gave me to work with. But I think we all know that Lou is mentally checked out from this team.

The Cardinals lose to the Padres and the Cubs come up with 1 run against Randy fucking Wolf. This is really embarrassing. Wells pitches his ass off again. Someone should tell him about pitching pitchers curve balls though, he has given up alot of RBI's to pitchers, including the 2 tonight.

6 hits the last 2 games. I'm sure they'll make up for it next week at home against the terrible Nats.

The starting pitchers are still bringing it, but the position players have packed it in. What a bunch of heartless bitches.

it is pretty sad that 3 of the cubs 5 starters have low 3 eras or better and none of them have 10 wins yet. and then harden has been pitching lights out since the break and he only has 8 wins

They have the worst batting average with runners in scoring position and it says a lot. Soriano isn't going to rebound this season. Hendry paid Milty big money to drive in runs and that's not gonna happen. Then Lou takes the best leadoff man on the team and drops him to 5th in the batting order. Enough with this lefty-righty shit already!

And I wholeheartedly agree with releasing Aaron Miles right now. He brings absolutely nothing to this team.

To make everyone feel better, the Cubs have $120 million committed to 10 guys next year. They have $95 million committed to 9 guys in 2011.

F'n Hendry gave Miles a 2 year deal. I'm sure that plays a role in releasing him. Hendry is already eating the contracts / money of a few players not even on the team.

Oh man, I can't take watching any more. It's the same thing all year. Yesterday, before I had to leave the house in lije the 6th they had two leadoff singles and finished the inning with a stranded runner on 1st. That's ridiculous. 3 guys can't move one damn leadoff runner.
THis team has been pathetic on defense, on offense and in late inning relief. The bullpen and the starting pitching has for the most part been pretty solid. Just that goddamn offense and miserable defense.
Just terribly boring to watch. Cubs are done this year, and they've been done since 8/1.

I said the late inning has been rough, but I'll stand by that statement. They've been a decent, servicable bullpen.
