So the Sox are currently 63 & 62...The Cubs are 62 & 60 (both suck).

I have $100 bet with my Sox fan - neighbor that the Cubs will have more wins than the Sox at the end of this season.

Will I win or lose this bet?

I think you will lose. The Cubs are out of it. They will soon be in September callups/Tanking mode. The Sox are actually still in the race. But I don't think they will make the playoffs either.

They way they have played this year...not sure if or when they ever started trying. Lou has looked dis-interested the entire season. "I'm going to rely on my veteran ballplayers".....[Lou Pinella - Dusty Baker] = old & cashing checks!

Let's see....I have a veteran like Miles hitting 178...I have GOT to get him in the line up.

Fuck Off Lou.

Once the Cubs are eliminated, they will go on a long winning streak restoring hope to the fans for another next year.

Cubs 65 - 64 Sox 64 - 68

At this point in the Cubs season...it is now all about MY MONEY. I want my "hundo" from the neighbor.

Your neighbor is an idiot for betting that much on the Cubs/Sox without you giving him at least a 5 game modifier.

At the start of the season, Vegas had the Cubs up by over 10 games over the Sox.

White Sox had 87 of those in a row one time.

The real deal is...he owed me $50 from last year....so we went double or nothing. The fact that he did not pay me promptly last year, sort of put him in this situation. He could very well win...but I was pretty confident at the start of the season. Now? Not so much. Something to cheer for I guess

I think you'll be fine. Cubs will finish out an easier schedule, plus, the Sox blow.

How could you say that? They were just in it not two weeks ago! Clearly they do not "blow".

Besides, they still have six with Detroit. They'll be fine.

The Sox are 1-9 in their last 10 games.

They have seen a steep drop in play in the past two weeks. They do blow now.

How? Because they've dropped 11 games in two weeks. That changes the landscape does it not?

It will be interesting to see how both teams play out the string. The Cubs have seemed disinterested the entire season...so I expect more of the same with their "talent" having them finish above 500.

I thought the sox would have more of a push, but they seem to have quit...and playing tougher teams (red sox - yankees) and at metrodome have knocked them down.

all that said...I'm not confident about Cubs ending up with more wins.

I'm feeling pretty good about getting my "hundo", but the Cubs have let me down a time or three before.

Sox 73 & 79

Cubs 78 & 72
