Soriano is owed too much money to just cut him, even as bad as he has been. His bat is slow and he has refused to change to a lighter model. I might consider benching him come September, until he agree's to try a lighter bat. Embarass him by not playing him. He may still get paid, but I think being benched would bother him. Perhaps enough to make the changes needed. I don't like a lot of aspects of his game, but I don't believe his bat can't be productive again.

Feel free to get a hit today as well. You know, soriano reminds me a hell of a lot of sosa. He was probably enhanced, is a butcher in the field, most hr's are not in key situations and can not recognize a slider nor hold up from swinging at the slider no matter the count or how far outside it is. I am all for benching his ass, and I wouldnt mind seeing them bench the riot as well. He seems to have a high horse attitude this year and he needs to lose that asap.

So far every player besides Soriano who has also reached the 40/40 mark (Homers and Steals) has been implicated for using steroids and/or other performance enhancers. Bonds, Canseco and Alex Rodriguez down....will Soriano be exposed down the road as well??

I agree. DFA Miles after the game and activate Blanco. Send a message, albeit an expansive one. Of course does it really matter now? They are toast and Miles will have some value this winter as part of a larger trade package. His lack of production is mind boggling given he hit .317 last year in over 300 AB's.

I hope there is a tyler colvin appearance at sometime this season. Who cares if he is young, he is tearing it up in AA. If this season is a wash, which it pretty much is, lets give him some experience. I have always felt that AAA is not necessary for younger prospects that show ability at AA. AAA is mostly comprised of AAAA players who do good in the minors but can't get it done in the bigs. So dump miles, add colvin to the roster and bench soriano until he figures out how to not swing at ever single slider out of the zone.

If they would play some young guys who were up from AAA, there might be reason to watch them now. At least then, you could have interest in seeing if there were guys who might be able to help them next year. But this crap is just not worth watching. No upside.
