Damn - I hope the Jones injury doesn't come back to haunt. I don't trust AP and Wolf getting many carries.

To be honest, I fail to understand why Wolfe is even on the team..

I trust AP on special teams, but not as much as the backup RB. But I give him a better chance than Wolfe.

I think he was close to leading the team in special teams tackles. Easily could be wrong, though.

In my franchise mode on MAdden 10, Wolfe came into the game yesterday to give Forte a breather to my surprise (I have it set on auto subs)....the play was to Wolfe, and he caught it....and then fumbled......

He's not spectacular, but he runs hard, and he's durable. Compared to other backups in the NFL he not that great, But I think he could handle the backup load...

Has to be special teams, though I hardly notice him there either. As a RB he is useless.

Also the 3rd round comment probably has merit, Angelo (or any GM) is not one to admit overreaching for a guy.

I've mentioned that I bought Madden for the first time in 7 years, and I thought I was a big enough football fan as it was, but after playing Madden the past few weeks, it makes me love football even more than I imagined. I'm breaking down every play, sometimes even rewinding the DVR to see what each player is doing on that play.

I'm kind of surprised that Basanez wasn't in the first group of cuts, I wonder if that game yesterday saved him...

I can't wait to see what garbage wide outs other teams are going to cut, maybe the bears can find someone...

There was talk yesterday of him being signed to the practice squad, but I am not sure he is eligible. They were talking about going with only 2 active QB's.

Marcus Hamilton was the one who messed up the coverage in the ATlanta game at the end last year.

I hate this thinking (not yours, but any GM that actually thinks this). What's worse, drafting a guy and figuring out he sucks and cutting him immediately, or drafting a guy and finding out he sucks but continue to keep him around? Obviously I'd prefer a GM that doesn't make stupid picks to begin with, but I'd also have one that can admit to his mistakes 3 years sooner.

There is an old saying in sales that goes something like... "There are always 2 winners in every deal: those who make the sale, and those who walk away first."

Sometimes I wish sports teams would adopt this attitude, but I can see why they don't think it's a good idea. I would understand if it turned out they were 70, or 80 percent correct with their player evaluations. But they aren't even close to that.
