Since most of you guys don't like Meatpants as Mac's partner, and since Mac doesn't seem willing to change partners, why not add someone like Oak Park Vandy to the mix? When he was Mac's partner a few weeks ago he sounded really comfortable with Mac, and he isn't as screamy as Meatpants, it might make for a good mix. And he is an actual Cubs fan and not a makeshift Cubs fan like Meat... Just a thought...

How is Meatpants a "makeshift" Cubs fan?

I was under the impression from on air conversations that meatpants alliances were to another MLB team, but that he is also a fan of the Cubs. But I could be wrong, it could of just been the voices in my head telling me that...

Meatpants is from Boston. He is a Red Sox fan. I would say that calling him a "makeshift Cubs fan" is right on the money.

Why not pick from the pool of (young) talent that got taken in and hosed over by Webio?

Come to think of it, Meatpants doesn't have the midwestern honk that Mully, Hanley, Mac, Dan, and Terry all have. Maybe that's why people think he talks like a game show host?

You are correct. Spiegel went to school in Boston at Emerson College.

"Oak Park Vandy" seems to know his stuff whenever he's been on with Danny Mac over the years...Then again, I think he was on subbing for Jurko and Harry down the dial when Bruce Levine forgot the name of that Houston Astros' right fielder during a live chat at Wrigley Field a couple years ago. When Mac used to do "Critics and XL", he always played the Bruce soundbite coming back from break...

Oak Park Vandy would be a huge improvement. Anyone from Oak Park is alright with me.
