Have MAC Tuesdays started yet? If so, post in here! We'll use this thread through the Monday Night Football game on September 14.

Your current standings:

BigFan (1-0)- $1,181.82
Newper (3-2)- $1,137.48
Boilermaker Rick (1-0)- $1,045.45
Rogers Park Bryan (1-0)- $1,022.73
Chus (4-5)- $908.80
Coast2Coast (1-5)- $848.00
At Large(8-3)[pending Miami/FSU] - $642.00
Good Dolphin (1-4)- $190.91

Reminder on the rules:

Quote:
You start with a bankroll of $1000. Minimum bet = $20. Maximum Bet = $500. You must place a total of at least 100 bets during the season; there is no maximum number of bets.

All NFL and NCAA bets are available. You can bet any line, prop, over/under, anything you can find: but you must say where you got it. If you can't play it in real life, you can't play it in the contest. Otherwise, everything is fair game.

For simplicity purposes, put all your picks in one post. You can post multiple times, but have at least one post in the thread with all your picks. Put down the team, the line, the price, the amount of the wager, and where you got the line. So for example, post "Bears +3 -110 $50 The Greek". It doesn't have to be in that order, just make sure you have all that info. Please don't cheat.

At the end of the week, put "w" next to each win and "l" next to each loss. I'll calculate the money at the end of the week, but I don't want to have to hunt down the scores for every game.

Feel free to jump in any time. If I've goofed on anything let me know.

Maybe it's actually 110.

What would my number be if I bet 10 to win 9.09?

-110, which is the standard juice. Some shops have reduced juice, like -107 or -105. matchbook is still the best place to play, because it is a betting exchange, not a book. You can put any bet out there, and if someone grabs the other side, then Hey, Babalugats. We got a bet here.

You've got 14 weeks of College, 17 weeks of NFL, bowl games, and playoffs. Just for the NFL or collge alone it's about 5-7 per week. I don't think that's too many.

Irish, my lines are always -110, which should leave me with +220

Anyway, I'll go full boat with:

Virginia Tech -19 against Marshall- $200

I've got you winning one game last week, with a $100 bet at -110. That should be $190.91.

Ah, but my guy pays out 100 on a 100 play, which is good for me.

I don't know if you'd like the old school investment paradigm. It's like a form of public humiliation to have to drop off after a losing period. Not clean like on a computer.

Irish, do we continue if go farther than -1000 or once you reach -1000 are you eliminated from the competiton? I think it would be a good way to weed some people out. I say this knowing I am -610 right now.
