I could drop some great names here, but I was lucky enough to have unprecedented access to the Bulls during the Jordan years. I will give you 2 great memories.

1. Got to park maybe 4 cars from him in the old lot 3 1/2. Just happened that one day we had a tenant who sold sporting goods, who moved out but left an MJ backboard from Huffy with the MJ copied Autograph. We always walked outsdie well before Jordan because when he left they didnt let anyone else out into the lot to help thin out the crowd. We are hanging out at my jeep and I see Jordan walking over and relaize I have the backboard and how cool it be to have him sign it. Had the big EL MARKo marker in the Jeep, opened the Hatch and yelled for him to sign it. Obviously not an item you can carry over to the guy, so he comes over, laughs, literally crosses out the fake signature, signs his name and puts an exclamation! Yes, I still have it in storage.

2. After winning the 2nd championship at Home the Bulls ran down into the locker room. Even with All media access passes, we could not get into the locker and there was so many people down there, it would have been meaningless, would have just got in Jim Roses way. So we hung out around the scorers table. 15 minutes later nobody in the place is leaving and here comes the players running out of the lower level locker rooms and got the high five from almost every player as they ran to jump on the Scorers table.

Yeah got many more. Happy for me?

MJ strolling into the gyn @ Chicago State at halftime during a summer league game in 1985. The game stopped while he could change shoes & warmup. He got ready, dropped about 30-35 pts. and put on a show that Cummings, Aguirre and even Isiah had to stop and watch.

Greatest Chicago team ever?

My favorite memory of M Jeff is when he went out on top, in true heroic fashion, puttin' away the Utah Jazz for the Bulls' sixth championship in eight years - what a great story befitting the greatest player ever to step on to the court, never losing a step in his storied career...wait, what?? He came back? For who? The Wizards?? And he sucked?? damn...

My favorite M Jeff memory the shot against the Cavs. The play before that Ehlo beat Jordan to give the Cavs the lead (and the last time I ever cursed Jordan for letting pasty SOB beat him) and then he just took the air outta of the gym and turned into the best ever!

When I was 12, my cousin was a waitress on the floor at the old stadium. For my birthday, she got my dad and I tickets and then when the game was over, she had arranged a meet and greet for us with Red Kerr, who in turn got MJ, and he hooked it up so I could shoot with him after the game.

Would it be a bit too meatballish to suggest his ripped single v. the Cubbies in one of those BS Crosstown Classics back in the day? :P

OKC, I actually remember Michael Jordan's miserable attempt at playing baseball after he retired the first time in 1994. It was not only quite a farce and an embarrassment, but I remember Sports Illustrated had an issue in which they urged MJ to actually "GIVE IT UP!" when Jordan couldn't hit a curve or a fastball down in Double "A" Birmingham. Interesting to note, Jordan's former minor league manager now has 2 World Series rings with the Boston Red Sox, Terry Francona.

Retired or is it that he was secretly suspended by David Stern?

I think this rumor is so well known it's almost taken as fact now regardless of it's truthfulness

I don't know if we'll EVER know the real reason why MJ missed an entire season when he retired the first time from basketball in 1993-94. There were rumblings that his "Airness" had ties to gambling, supposedly linked to the death of his father. I remember ABC7's Chuck Goudie, before his hair turned gray, was all over the investigation back then, and then Sun-Times columnist Jay Mariotti wrote several columns along those lines...

Only by the same type of people that believe 9/11 was a government conspiracy or we never landed on the moon.

Someone could have made a lot of money if they had even a small amount of proof of that. Not everyone loved Jordan. I have a feeling that a newspaper in Cleveland or New York would have loved to see him get knocked down.

This may be one of the very few times me and Asswipe agree, the shot vs. Cleveland is my all time favorite Jordan moment. But there are so many good ones. . .

The 4th quarter of Game 6 in the '93 Finals. The Boo scored only 12 points that quarter and 9 were from M-Jeff. The other three were on Pax's last-second shot. That was probably the best example of one man placing an entire team on his back.

The single play in that game that symbolized Jordan's heroics was when M-Jeff got the defensive rebound, went the full length of the floor, blew by everybody and got an uncontested layup to pull the Boo within two with less than a minute left. It was amazing because you could tell Michael was absolutely EXHAUSTED by the time that play happened.

Will Kid Cairo give MJ credit for giving Pippen the first mention in his speech?

As much as Jordan thinks he's awesome he knows how important Scottie was.
