I love Jay Cutler. He is good and he is going to get better. There should be no discussion on this.

i agree with that too but i'm not positive he'll get better. Has he progressed alot the last couple seasons?

That's because you don't want to admit to the world or yourself that the Bears are great and can be better than the Fudge. You poo poo Cutler but would like the stink off Aaron Rodgers schwety balls when they might be more similiar than you want to admit.

they're totally different. Rodgers is mature, a good leader, and a great decision maker. They are both ultra confident borderline cocky. Both are very good young franchise qb's but objectively i would question how much more cutler will improve since he's got the on field shit down just needs to play smarter. Not sure he has the maturity to do that

Maybe but I don't think he is as talented as Cutler. It remains to be seen if Cutler can harness his talent.

I don't know how mature Rodgers will be if his defense keeps sucking ass. He could fall apart. From what I've seen he is taking a lot of sacks and possibly holding onto the ball for too long or his line sucks as the Bears does. He also needs to read defenses better.
I don't believe he is as good as you think he is.

Jim Harbaugh became well known for fourth quarter comebacks also. In fact, he was good enough at it to get the nickname "Captain Comeback". We could play this name game all day but until Cutler develops the resume anywhere close to Elway or Brady or Manning or Marino I won't really accept comparisons to hall of famers.

Cutler has hall of fame potential but he's far away from it right now and what I am saying about his play is how he can at least turn into a perennial pro bowler. Before you go nuts on me for that one, take a look at this list.

Drew Brees
Aaron Rodgers
Matt Ryan
Eli Manning

Which two of those players is Cutler going to outplay this season to be an all-pro? I can see him overtaking Matt Ryan or Eli but it's going to be tough to jump over both. Cutler may not even be the "all pro" QB.

I guess I'm just being critical though. All is well. I'm just sad that Kyle Orton isn't here.

i think he's awesome at reading coverages, not so much at blitz recognition. He had a bad line and defense last season and showed very good leadership throughout. Not all very competitive players act like crybabies

This Jay Culter is a crybaby stuff is stupid. Packer fans are in love with Rodgers and always want to get in a dick competition with Bears fans and then you get mad that you have smaller dicks.

for the record i disliked cutler before he came here. And you're crazy, drew brees is a great player

If you think that Cutler doesn't belong in the top ten, there is an underlying issue.

All four of them would make the pro bowl over Cutler through three games though. My guess is that Brees and Rodgers are almost locks. It's Manning, Ryan and Cutler fighting for the final spot unless someone gets injured.

I don't know what to tell you if you don't consider Brees great. Do you think Cutler is better than Brees?

I honestly think Cutler is better too but at this point both are statistically superior.

My guess is that if the Giants win like they probably will Eli gets the nod.

Thanks. I thought about putting Romo at 10 but after watching the first half tonight, I decided against it. He is running out of excuses now.

I won't argue that list. However, currently in this season he's been outplayed by players like Joe Flacco, Matt Schaub and Matt Ryan.

It's only a few games into the season though so this could change quickly.

I agree. Too early to tell. Schaub had the one horrible game first week like Cutler but he played a really tough Jets D, which also shut down Brady. Flacco is looking good but he is the kind of guy where you just don't completely buy into him yet and think he is one bad game from coming back to reality. And Ryan is right there with Cutler. Although he has a better RB and receiving core. So I give Cutler the nod with less to work with.

Yeah, well McNabb has played part of ONE game, and Big Ben's team is 1-2. No way either of them are ahead of Cutler at this point.

This list isn't based off of 3 games. It is the rankings based on their carreer play up to this point. And even so, based on your opinion, QB rating only depends on team record so do you have Orton in the top 5?

What?! Then Ryan and Rogers (and maybe even Cutler) don't belong there, and Brady should be #1, with BigBen at #2 as they are the only ones who have multiple SB rings.

I'd take somebody off that list and put Warner and Favre in there if you are talking career/current players.

It is not about just the wins. It is is a combination of past play and current times. Brady has slipped due to his injury. Manning and Brees are on fire right now. Ben isn't as good statistically as the others imo

Rick wants to know why Orton was omitted too.

I want to know why you think Drew Brees isn't great and if you think Cutler is better.

I think of Brees a lot like McNabb. Very Very good, borderline great . When Brees's career is all said and done I believe it will be forgetable. Could be a product of the times with some of the quarterbacks in the league, don't really know. I like him though and statistically he is lighting it up the last couple years.

I'm not sure how Rothlisberger will be perceived either. He might start looking mediocre in the next couple years.
